Spring tweed goes to the office

It's not as fashion foward as Angie's ensembles...ok, it's not fashion foward at all, but was easy and it is tweed. A column of white and a tweed jacket-this could be my new FFBO
As always any and all comments are welcome--especially if you can think of a way to make this more fashion foward, but still work-no jeans-appropriate

I like the jacket and the look.
I'm not sure how dressy your office is. I could see a bootie or cutout bootie, and/or cropped white pants in a dressy material.

Don't apologize for your look! You're more "fashion forward" than the vast majority of the typical work looks I see, plus you look chic and put-together, which trumps "fashion forward" any day of the week!

This looks great. Do you have a graphic tee or stripes or floral that would work under the jacket? The maximal trend with tweed.

I like the column of white and the outfit looks perfect for the office. The tweed jacket is really nice. I can see that it would look good with a lot of different outfits, even jeans and a tee.

I think this is great . I'd be tempted to try another shoe - something less classic, and maybe a printed/graphic/something top under the jacket instead of the plain white t. And then , jewellery !

The jacket fits you really well -- if it were boxy it would take this look too conservative. I'm agreeing with others that a graphic or stripe underneath could be fun. Or a block heel with ankle strap.

Oh, that's a great javket - and a very nice outfit you've made with it?

To change it up, I agree with others' suggestions about heavier shoes and a print top. Perhaps a print that brings in a bit of another color - bright pink or blue maybe?

This looks great as is and FF is not necessary for every (or any) outfit. But a shoe change would change the vibe if you want.

JAileen--the jacket's from AT, i found it on the clearance rack a couple of weeks ago, i don't ever remember seeing it at regular price, i've added the find. i like that it has a slight peplum

and thanks all for the reminder/nudge to try a striped top! i'm a pattern mixing novice and i just never think of it on my own....that would definitely take this to the next level.
and i'll play with the shoe on the next go round.

I think this jacket looks great on you, and there's nothing wrong with the whole look. You look great. However, I do like some of the suggestions on how to vary it up.

How to make things even more interesting?
Since I like classic looking shoes, I'd try a different top (graphic, patterned, slightly shiny or with some other interesting feature), or maybe add an eye-catching belt (if that's something you'd feel comfortable with).

In any case you've got a nice jacket.

Looks great! I like the suggestions about a different shoe or boot. I like the column of white and perhaps paired with a brightly coloured bag for spring.
