Hi all

Still in lockdown here. Our lockdown is tipped to go through to October, when we hope to start hitting our national vaccination targets.

Despite the lockdown, I have been visiting my mum. As a single person, she is allowed to form a singles bubble with one other person. That’s me! (I am her sole visitor and we are both fully vaxxed.)

To help us get through we are having a “fancy” lunch once a week. We make an effort to dress up like we were going out. I now have lockdown hair and eyebrows, but it is what it is.

So, on to today’s effort!

I bought this brown skirt intending to wear it in slightly warmer weather (it’s unlined silk, and not that warm). But it was an unseasonably warm day so I decided to give it a whirl.

On top I wore a rusty brown skivvy with a more orangey rust sleeveless knit over the top. I semi tucked this into an old aubergine belt, and matched it with my aubergine bag and aubergine boots. I liked the way that these items created large tonal colour blocks, a bit like the smaller tonal block pattern of the skirt. I’m right into repeating motifs in an outfit.

Meanwhile, Ms B has formed her own singles bubble with Jolie, my mum’s cat. Don’t worry, they are both fully vaxxed
