I am back to in-person meetings for work (mandatory vaccinations + masks for everyone on campus), so I have been dressing up, relatively speaking ;).

1) 1st in-person work meeting since March '20: Helmut Lang shirt (via TheRealReal [TRR]), BR cotton brocade pleated pants, Rag & Bone tote, Troentorp clogs. Bonus pup, Mr. T!

2) 2nd in-person work meeting: Rails jacket, Adam Lippes floral top (via TRR), COS dropped-crotch pants.

3) Outtake shot complete with puzzled pup, LOL!

4) 3rd in-person work meeting; this outfit involved three patterns, though they are pretty subdued: gray and white striped Current/Elliott button down, Vince pleated silk pants, Baggu tote, Madewell bandana, Corso Como clogs.

5) Out to dinner (outside! hot!): Isabel Marant top (via TRR), CoH denim skirt (quite old, posted it maybe 10 years ago on YLF), Guilia Massari tote, Troentorps clog sandals.

6) Casual errands: Etoile Isabel Marant top (via TRR), Madewell striped cut-offs, Emm Kuo bag (via TRR), Troentorp clogs.

Must be exciting to see people face to face again (or half face, at least!)

I like your style. -- edgy, confident, relaxed and luxe! If I had to pick faves I might say 2 and 4, but all these looks are awesome.

When you post your outfits with clogs, it always makes me want a pair, until I remember that I manage to walk out of every pair of mules or clogs I’ve ever owned, LOL.

Agree with others that your hair is fab. It’s particularly great with patterns like your top in 1,2,3,5,6. I particularly like your jeans skirt outfit, but all of these are great. They aren’t forced OUTFITS, but good pieces that fit you and each other well, and just fall into place just right.

Queen Clogs and Queen Pattern Mix never disappoints! KILLER all round, and your hair is sublime! Longer and more dramatic. Suits you!

I love the shorter tops with the relaxed yet dressy pants! Very flattering and elegant combinations. The ease and confidence of your style bounces off the screen!

#4 is my absolute best! KILLER to the Power of KILLER. The palette and pattern mixing is just sooo gorgeous with your hair! The shine of the bag is the glam touch on top.

I've noticed that we enjoy our tops and bottoms to fit in a similarly fluid way with just enough tailoring. HIGH FIVE.

Good luck with teaching in person again. It's quite the adjustment.

Great looks Jonesy. My favourite is the denim skirt look - but really they are all excellent. You have a casual elegant style that I admire - put together but in a very relaxed way!

Thanks so much, everyone! It's interesting to hear the different adjectives people use, e.g., edgy, casual luxe, laid-back. I don't put much effort into defining my style using monikers or labels, so this is fascinating for me.

I appreciate the comments about colors, patterns, prints, etc. I really enjoy playing around with these elements, so it's nice to get positive feedback!

Thanks for the hair love! It's been insanely humid here lately, so my hair is bigger and frizzier than usual (and I had wet down the right side to try to "re-activate" the curls on that side before I took these pics, so all I can see when I look at them is that my hair looks lopsided and stringy on that side, LOL), so I appreciate the kind words.

Thanks for the clog love! I love boots and booties, but of course they aren't that practical for the summer. So I was happy to discover this particular brand of clogs that works well for my feet, and gives me a similar vibe (at least in my mind to booties and boots. But I am eagerly awaiting cooler fall temps!

Viva, Mr. T is a mixed breed, about 30 pounds. He was a rescue and has been so wonderful to have around during these months of lockdown! Extra bonus pic below :).

Angie, thanks so much for your detailed response--I love getting your feedback! It's funny to me that you zeroed in on #4, the outfit that is most outside of my comfort zone, since I tend to default to lots of moody, dark colors :). I like how you consistently (and kindly) nudge people to explore and expand their style over time. I love the Rails jacket! I have a second one in an olive with a star print as well--they are great for layering in warmer weather. Didn't realize they were a top pick, but I can see why! Maybe someday when I have a few weeks to kill I will put everything on Finds...

What a treat (as always) Jonesy! Love your mixes and and choice of bags and shoes. And hair! Am staring into Mr. T's eyes looking for the answer to it all.
Although I am short to your tall I also love to go for patterned tops (#5 is my favorite among favorites) with interesting bottoms (no shorts for me though). As a matter a fact I brought home a few from TRR myself . Am studying your silhouettes for inspiration, especially #3.

I admire the casual elegance of all of these outfits. Especially #4, which looks so luxe, with the drape and subtle pattern mixing. Your clog collection is envious--they reflect a range of moods here.

Casual elegance is exactly what I see. So gorgeous, Jonesy! I love the tonal look in 4--those colors glow on you! Love the cool pattern in 1 and the contrast jacket in 2. OK, once I get over swooning over your pup, I can tell you how much I love that Helmut Lang top (amazing cut and pattern) and the brocade pants. And how much I adore outfit #4. Just wow! I really love a subtle pattern mix like that, and the clogs are great! The shirt gives the sense of texture as much as pattern. Really cool with your hair.

You are making me think maybe I should dare to wear my clogs outside the house! I got a pair as house shoes and I know they are popular right now, but I wasn't sure I'd be comfortable with all the walking I do. Love them for inside, but just didn't know how they'd feel on pavement.

Jonesy, I have never seen your style before and I love it! A little similar to mine but way better. I see confidence, put together outfits all in a very natural uncontrived way. 5 & 6 are my outfit favourites. The snake print clogs are too die for - I love them! Navy ones are very nostalgic for me, I had the same pair in 1978/79 (when I was 12/13 yrs). Your hair is rock-star fabulous. I know all about frizzy hair that will not comply in humidity but yours looks stunning. I think the length makes it work so well. Lastly, your doggy is Adorable! Such a cute face and cool hairstyle too
