Hey, YLF -- sorry to be MIA for so long. This was a rough year at work, with lots of other things going on as well. I see many new faces on the forum, which makes me realize how long I've been away.

Anyway, I wanted to let those of you who've been around for a while know that my darling SO and I got married about ten days ago. It may have been the tiniest, lowest-fuss wedding ever, including the selection of what to wear, and that is exactly how we both wanted it.

Nutshell version: I had planned to wear this dress from Ann Taylor , but the day turned out to be over 100 degrees. So the morning of the wedding, my sister and I went shopping and I found a silvery top and grey skirt at WHBM that suited my needs well. They didn't have a small enough size in the skirt, but another location did, so we went and picked it up and that was that. My silver Kenneth Cole Cedar City wedges worked just fine for the shoes.

To those of you struggling through dress fittings and planning jitters (hi Marianna!), let me just say that even if you do everything wrong, as I did in going shopping a couple of hours before the event, it will still be wonderful.

I'm wearing my big watch in the photo, but did not wear it at the wedding. This was a hasty photo that my son insisted on taking "so you can post it on YLF!"
