Angie -- when we met last fall, you had asked me if I thought SO and I would get married, and now you have your answer. I am hoping to be more present on YLF now that I have more time and less stress.

Sara -- that is an idea that hadn't occurred to me! SO encouraged me to keep the AT dress as well, but I did return it. It's lovely, but not something that really fits my life very well when I'm not getting married.

I had also ordered this dress:

but it was too short (yes, on a 5'2" woman), too wide in the hip and too bust-mashingly narrow in the top, and it went back as well.

Any suggestions on how to toughen up the girliness of the grey skirt for future wearing would be welcomed. That's probably a separate post...

So NOW I know why I haven't had the pleasure of meeting you here before (I'd seen you on the member's list!). Very, very warmest congratulations from my husband and I. We're on a 'surprise' trip (seriously, he gave me about 45 mins. notice last Friday!!!), to celebrate our Silver Wedding (so you have a bit of catching up to do! :-)). We've been down in Chamonix, on through the Mont Blanc tunnel to Milan (for retail therapy, you understand!), and on our way back to Chamonix later to pack for the short (in km) trip to Geneva, which is where we first met, and where we still have friends. Of course, I'm hoping to do yet more shopping in Geneva's fabulous Rue du Rhône! (Yep, I'm a hopeless case, I'm afraid).

But I'm digressing! This post is meant to send our warmest wishes to you both. If you two are as happy as we've been, you'll do just fine! Greetings from a pair of old-weds to a pair of newly-weds,
