I think I've finally got my jeans issues settled for awhile . I bought these a couple of weeks ago and finally had a chance to put them through their paces today. They are exactly what I need in a pair of jeans: not too stiff, some stretch to accommodate my perennially pregnant looking belly , some drape , and not too jacked-up high in the waist. They have trouser pockets too, which is great, except THEY ARE SO SHALLOW! Anyways, I like them, they feel good on, and I really am getting into the "new" easier, voluminous overall silhouette. FINALLY. Sometimes it takes me a long time to get comfortable, other times I'm way ahead of the curve. There is no consistency to my style , lol. I've also recently added a pair of washed black wide legs, and a pair of dark lightweight denim /gold stitching wide leg crops. Feeling a little more current now

I'm getting a fair bit of wear out of these sneakers after they sat dormant their first year in my closet. It's become clear that I could get lots of wear out of a pale coloured boot but I'm holding off until next year when I see how footwear styles shake out. I don't want yet another pair of lug sole Dolce Vita/Ganni knock-offs which are on every shelf in every store right now. I would love something different and more unique and not similar to every other boot in my closet.

I loved this outfit today - very comfy yet "chill" feeling - yay Amy ! The loud plaid scarf was perfect instead of a jacket for running errands by car today. My arm IS there, just down at my side behind the scarf, lol. The necklace is just a fun(?) piece I bought (and then never wore) from a used clothing/accessories/housewares dealer I often order from . It was sold as vintage but the clasp clearly indicates it's not so I was a little unsure about the whole purchase after I saw it in person. Regardless, the beads are interesting and it works well with this sweater.

Hope you all are having a lovely weekend. It's 7C here, leaves are almost all down, and frost is on the cars in the morning. Winter here we come
