The jeans look great on you. Jag jeans seem to work for you.
Your sweater and scarf colours are so good with your hair and skin.

Ooh, using a big scarf as essentially outerwear during mild weather is super cool! I really like this look, and the color palette you are using here really suits you. SO great that you feel like you've got your jeans sorted. I hope you get a ton of enjoyment from those new purchases in the coming months.

Great jeans and I like the vibe of the whole outfit. The tuck in the front looks really on trend too.

I also find the semi tuck hard side on and for me I find it works better with layers where one layer is tucked and a cardigan camouflages my tummy.

Love this outfit! The colors are great on you. I'm a fan for me of the boxy-ish sweater with jeans. It just feels good and if the jeans are the trendy part, looks stylish too.

This is great. Sophisticated and yes, chill. Did you find the scarf easy to deal with? Every time I try this, I love the way it looks but I feel like I'm spending my entire day redraping the scarf.

Yea - I did fiddle with the scarf , but mostly when I had to access my purse .

It's so good that you solved the jeans issue. It's a tough one, and you did really well. This style looks super on you. The whole outfit is a knockout. Sophisticated chill, for sure. I'm off to see about a sweater like that!

Speaking of the sweater , which is from Old Navy……I was in the b&m store yesterday doing an online return and saw a pile of “ my” sweater . And it occurred to me that retailers like Old Navy work for me in a vacuum , where I can just look at the specific item without seeing it in the context of a chaotic store . I wouldn’t have even looked at it in that store - too much other product was stacked around , half of it unfolded , and the general lack of ambience is a huge turn off . But seen isolated on the website , I can analyze it for what it is . This is the exact opposite of what happens when I shop on , say , CM’s website . Nothing looks interesting or appealing , but get me in the store with it’s skilled and creative merchandising , and I’m loving it all .

I agree, the merchandising is so important! I follow some people on Instagram who model various pieces that look great and when I click on the link it is so uninspiring. I would never have looked twice.

It's beautiful--I love the big, plaid scarf! It looks chic but of course cozy, and this color palette is such a slam dunk for you. Interesting insight about the ON sweater out of context, vs. the well-styled CM store.

Looks great, but how do you keep the scarf from shifting overly much? Also wondering if the necklace beads are Japanese washi paper? Maybe the beads are vintage, just not the putting them together in a necklace.

Thanks Donna - the beads are Bakelite or plastic . They indeed may have been vintage themselves and have been rethreaded along the way . Scarf on sweater - no real shifting going on . Just a bit . The fuzziness grips onto itself
