Inspired as always by fab YFLers, I decided today was the day I would tackle the selfie one more time. Laurie posted some amazing photos and helpful tips - (thank you) which have helped motivate me.
My biggest issue is lack of lighting. I hauled up some industrial lights from the basement, discovered that there is a special ' indoor' setting on my Canon power shot, found the self timer button and I was in business.
My source of outfit inspiration is Angie's post on Friday featuring the grey and white ensemble. This is a staple in my wardrobe, and I can make endless versions. I'm wearing one of my favourites today. JCrew cashmere sweater brings back warm memories of a YLF Toronto get together. I was hesitant buying a cashmere sweater in March (almost end of season), but this beauty is a workhorse. The cream BR skinnies are a lemming purchase - tipped off by Angie, I followed my fellow fashionistas and drank deeply I picked up the belt (cognac with a dusty grey imprint) in Italy.
In pic 1, I'm keeping it real - grey ballet slippers for at home wear.
I've altered the outerwear in the remaining pics; I vary the footwear depending on the weather and will switch up the coats.
My hat is off to all you ladies who post photos on a regular basis. I really appreciate the photo posts, and the effort it takes to put it together.
Bonus shots of my lighting system and backyard view!
