Just loving this thread. Ceit, you had the medieval thing going on even back then....love your dress...love ALL the dresses and how beautiful you all are.
I am living proof of the wisdom of hiring a professional photographer. Not once, but TWICE did I make the mistake of failing to hire one...and as a result, the pictures from both weddings (yup, two) are sad, sad, sad. For my second wedding, our main "photographer's" camera did not even have film...and another friend's broke just before the wedding. So nothing is good quality.
I hope it is not bad luck to share pics from Wedding 1 as well as Wedding 2.
For Wedding 1 I wore my mother's gown, made circa 1950. I loved the Mandarin collar and the buttons. We were married at the chapel of our college, where we met. Outside in the sun-dappled quad my husband fussed with his new ring - an omen? Perhaps. But it was a wonderful day and I have happy memories of it.
Wedding 2 took place in 1999 in our backyard. We were married by one of hubby's former students. We made almost all the food ourselves. It was a broiling hot day and I wore a dress off the Banana Republic sale rack. Those were my non-fashion, pre-YLF days! But it was comfortable and easy and I felt fine. Also sun-dappled (so nearly invisible). But you can see my pixie cut in the baby photos - that is a friend's baby.
For some reason I couldn't load all the images. Did my best with what I had!
