Fun thread, Angie! I don't think I saved photos of all my favourites, but I'll try to find as many as I can.

Ooh - I love this thread, and had fun looking back over my year of photos (I sure haven't posted much since moving, have I?).

Here's my favorites - I tried to pick a few from each season.

Wow, everybody really crushed it this year!

I jumped the gun and posted my month-by-month faves in a separate thread, but here are a few of those with some other favorites from the year!

Oh fun! I am loving everyone's recaps! I haven't had the energy for new posts lately, but I can certainly pull from the archives.

Oh wow! Will be back to pick favorites but here a few that include elements of vintage and modern, which is where I am right now!

Great thread. I am enjoying catching up on the outfits I missed! Here are my faves.

In no particular order, here are my faves of the most different in either silhouette or color from what I wore last year. Florals, dove grey and long toppers were a big part of my look this year. Dresses featured more prominently, especially in Summer, due in part to how warm it was this year. I also participated in some YLF challenges, which was fun AND educational! I wore a lot of color this year, but my favorites tend more to low contrast and monochromatic looks, with a fair bit of light neutrals thrown in for good measure.

A bit unconventional as far as favs go, but it's a once-in-a-lifetime outfit.

adding one more I forgot-

This was actually kind of hard, and I postponed, because I realized I spent the year taking pictures of problems, not favorites! I wore my favorites, but they were things I had figured out in 2014 so I just didn't take pictures. Most of my 2015 pictures tended to be problems I was asking for help with. So first I need to thank you all for your help!

I have found a few favorites, so here goes. Several of these are more about the accomplishment and the memories than the actual outfit.

1 and 2 are about happy colors, jewelry, and finding my style happiness.
3...best accessory ever! Who care what you are wearing when you are holding a day old baby goat?!
4...Thanks to YLF! The successful tailoring of an old dress to make a new one.
5 and 6...Now this is the biggest YLF thank you. I had to come up with a dressy but not party outfit in a December heat wave and nothing was working. Pre-YLF I would have given up and worn something tolerable and felt bad all evening. This time I just kept trying combos, analyzing what wasn't working, and trying again. I really liked what I came up with and was happy all evening instead.
7...Oops, out of order. My first NAS and my HEWI scarf!

Other things I learned...wow my hair took a hit from my big allergy disaster. Here's hoping it recovers soon. And from this thread...I think gradfashionista must be my long lost much younger sister!

WOW!

More fabness on this killer thread! My toes are tickled.

Donna, I’m going with #1 and #5. Graphic & Ankle Strap Fabness.

Joy, #2 all the way. Just. So. Different. Modern Elegance. Rock on.

Maneera, #1 and #14 are my faves, and precious doggie is included!

Amy, #2, 3 and 4 all the way. It’s fun to see you glammed up.

Mary, thanks for posting here too. From this batch I’m going with #1, #3 and #10. Magical Mary Glam Chic.

Sarah, OF COURSE, I have to go with #6 and #7. Arty Elegance.

Jaime, I have to go with the pretty lace in #1 because it’s soft, gentle and lovely - just like you.

Brooklyn, for sure #1 because it also includes your doggie who you matched so perfectly.

Ann, I have to go with Brilliant Bond Girl #3, but #2, #4 and #9 are close seconds.

Hah, Gradfashiinista! You’re hilarious and congrats.

Peri, I’m going with #5, but #3 stole my heart right away.

Angie, I just have to come back to say how awesome you are to comment on everybody's posts! It's really special to see your take on everybody's looks!

Ditto to what MsMary just said! : )

I rarely post, but this is fun and I've been taking more outfit photos lately.

#1 2 piece Nicole Miller dress I wore for a 30th Anniversary Party for a women's group. I was the head organizer so wanted to stand out.
#2 Same skirt dressed down with my favorite Splendid T and flat sandals.
#3 My little white dress and new favorite jean jacket
#4 Going for a little edge.
#5 Had to add Sundae in...he liked laying on my shoes.
#6 Eight year old Etcetera skirt and consignment store find sweater.
#7 I actually didn't get a chance to wear this outfit for the holidays as the cotton cropped pants and booties just weren't warm enough.

Happy New Year, Everyone!

So I haven't really taken much outfit photos this year but here are a few that I found. This my year in review. It looks my color of the year was black.

It is a great treat to see such great interpretation of personal style. Angie , Greg and Inge keep YLF an amazing place for personal growth.

I love this YLF tradition. I am seeing so many great outfits! Here are my top picks.

I notice quite a bit of black. Although black is not my best color, I think these outfits show that the harshness of black is mitigated through colorful accessories and the color white. For 2016 my goal is to be braver about color. You, Angie, and Vix are my color inspirations.

Outfits 1 and 7 have special meaning to me. #1 features a dress you helped me pick in 2013, it's my favorite LBD ever. #7 is special to me because I wore it in Seattle.

I love this post and will come back to have a better look. Great treat for 1 Jan.

ETA: I see that most posts in this thread are short and simple, so I've moved my musings over to a separate thread. Hope this makes sense.

Some favorites from 2015 show more colour and bolder pattern than before. I like this style direction.

What a great thread! So much inspiration here.

It was fun going through my outfits this year and choosing those that seemed to work well made feel feel good. This should also help with wardrobe purge round 2.

I didn't have many favorites this year looking back I didn't take many pictures. I hope to take more this year.
My hi-light this year was outfit number 1. Angie did an ensemble post hi-lighting it. I am still honored!

What a fabulous thread, Angie. Thank you so much for this. I love looking at each person's photos. It brings happy memories, and it's such a great way to get an overview of a person's style.

I had a rough year in many ways and haven't always been able to participate. Maybe that is why I find it so moving to see this retrospective.

You are all so beautiful!!!!!!! And you are all unique!!!!

Here are a few of my favourites this year. Many inspired by Angie ensembles or including Angie picks. Others inspired by forum members' suggestions. Or, in one case, a generous forum member's no longer wanted item! (Thanks, Dee!)

Here's to a fashionably amazing year in 2016!

Here are mine. Very dark and almost no warm weather outfits, my summer wardrobe is super boring and definitely needs some work...
Happy New Year!

Thanks, Mary & Donna. It’s my new year’s gift to the forum. And a gift that keeps on giving.

Dana, HOW SWEET that you posted. YAY! You are super cute and so is your sweet doggie, Sundae. Your hair and smile are LOVELY. I’m going with #7 - Relaxed Modern Chic. But I love that white eyelet frock too.

Naz, you’ve always loved black. #6 hands down. Military Fabness.

Denise, I’m going with #5 because you had me with the white shirt (a Seattle purchase!), and #7 because I saw that killer outfit in person in Seattle. NON-black Rick Owens is very unique. It was AMAZING that you came to visit. Miss you.

Harmonica, #9 hands down. You had me with the yellow.

Coco, #1 because the lines in that outfit are sublime.

Debbie, hands down #1. Modern, chic, and totally effortless. You have never looked better!

Suz, despite your hard year, your presence here has been as fab as ever, and I am most grateful for it. And your style has not suffered at all. In fact - you have never looked better! I’m going with #1 and #2 because you look extra pretty, radiant and elegant. Rock on.

Astrid, I’m going with #1 because the lighter plaid scarf adds a good dose of pizazz to your dark outfits, and complements your complexion. Nice to see it repeated in more favorite looks.

I got rid of a lot of photos, because I forgot about doing an end-of-year roundup. Also, I had some outfits I really liked, but that I either forgot to photograph or photographed poorly.

Here are some I kept, in no particular order. The first one is indeed something I wore for travel purposes -- but not to be taken as a style guide!

One thing I noticed in skimming back through my photo library is that while I am very fond of black, blue and grey and wear these very often, the outfit photos I like best often have more color than that.

My non photographed outfit today is coral v neck sweater, cream faux leather jeans and leopard boots, because I wanted to start off the year in color.

Ummlila, you know you had me with the doggie. #5 all the way, with #3 next. YES. I like colour on you best too.

Everyone looks so gorgeous! I've gotten so much inspiration just from looking at everyone's favorites. Here are my favorites and the reasons why:

#1 & 2 - I just love fit and flare dresses
#3 - the colors!
#4 - it's the Mary Jane shoes and my mother's pearl earrings that make this a fav
#5 - super fun sweater with eyeglasses on it that match my own
#6 - flared jeans and a bow blouse, kind of '70's
#7 - the Boston BCBG will always be a fav
#8 - how fun are those plaid pants?!
#9 - a plaid dress and preppy loafers? Of course this is a fav
#10 - polka dot fun
#11 - a terrible picture, but I love the flared skirt with burgundy underlay that matched my blouse
#12 - Santa Paws and his elf. They managed to keep these outfits on while they opened their presents at least!

Karie, those frocks love you back so I'm going with #1 as my retro fave, but #3 and #6 are next. Simple Smart Casual Fabness. But Santa and his Elf steal the show - doggies ALWAYS do. And rightfully so!

These are from the second half of the year. I'll have to dig around to find the photos from my old phone to post the ones from earlier this year.

I'm feeling happier with my style than I ever have.

ETA: found some photos from earlier in the year, added #10 on...

Wow, everyone is so fab! I look forward to this post every year, and it's always so much fun to see so many great looks in one place. Here are a few of my 2015 outfits.

Happy New Year to you all!
