I loved Angie's Spring inspiration and decided to use her "Popped column of navy" as inspiration for todays outfit. I liked the simplicity of the outfit Angie posted and was happy with how my outfit matched those clean and simple lines.
My jeans are the Jodie crop by AG, bought many years ago. I have found them to be a good summer jean because the exposed ankle means they are not too hot to wear on a summer's day. Today was warm with temps going to 100F today, so no jackets for me, just cropped jeans, a navy camisole, red shoes and bag.
Soon Summer will be gone and I will be able to wear a jacket with this. I am looking forward to a change of season as the weather where I live in March, April and May is usually perfect, January and February are very hot.
On a personal note, I am happy that where I live is reopening to the world, but a little worried about having Covid rip through our community.
Western Australia has been closed off from the rest of the country and closed to international travel, but that is about to change. We are now over 95% double vaccinated with more than 50% triple vaccinated (which I am lucky to be), so we are opening up. Currently we have Omicron in the community, but very low case rates of about 100 people per day (in a population of approx 2 million), but that will rise as we cannot stay isolated forever. We have spent the last two years being Covid free with very few restrictions or lockdowns. However, in order to rejoin the world we also have to live with mask wearing and restrictions so the virus is finally here and the next 8 weeks will be an interesting experiment at how effective the vaccines really are.
