Stagiaire Fash - I think people are just weary of restrictions. I have been lucky to have avoided any real potential contact with the virus, but it is now spreading quite quickly.

Angie - I hope the red shoes fit well as they will be fabulous in your wardrobe.

Nemosmom - I am glad that things are improving in your area. I expect we will have a wave over the next couple of months. We don't want to leave the worst until our winter months.

Sal - clothing and wardrobe planning is a nice diversion from the mayhem!

Kaelyn - red converses are so cool, I could imagine you rocking ox blood red Doc Martin boots too!

Suz - high praise from the master of wearing navy and red!

Brooklyn - my ability to tolerate heat means that I have zero capacity to survive the cold. I was watching the winter Olympics and was amazed at how cold it was. A good tip on taking a RAT test before catching up with vulnerable friends. I have one friend who is on chemo, so will definitely be having a test before catching up with him.

Sharan - I did spend most of the day indoors and away from the direct heat. The summer evenings are beautiful and I like to get in an early morning walk before things heat up.

This is a great look on you - the red is punchy but not overwhelming against the navy.

Omicron is messing things up here too - even with constant mask wearing, there will be mandatory testing for the *whole" of HK starting from next week (I have no idea how they're going to pull that off for 7+ million people but good luck lol!) We're already in 'non essential' lockdown (you can still grocery shop etc with contact tracing & at least 2 vaccination doses, but gyms etc are closed) & cannot quarantine at home. So am fairly anxious about being sent away to a government facility if I do contract it (I hope they'll be kinder this time around about allowing couples/ families to quarantine together, at least - we had a case where the children were separated from their parents because they caught COVID...)

I know the symptoms of the Omicron variant aren't necessarily as 'strong' as previous iterations, but we also had a case of a 3 year old child dying here after contracting it (kids that young don't get vaccinated here). So here's hoping we all stay happy & healthy through it ...
