Time for the pointy boots to prove themselves, or be passed on. The weather is a whole lot milder (and messier) than usual, so warmth isn't an issue for footwear this week. These are also synthetic, so can be wiped/brushed off....which is no small thing in this messy weather. It was also time to decide on these wide leg culottes - I had been having second thoughts despite my overly enthusiastic post about them 10 days ago. Typical. Anyways - I'm going through all of my bottoms one by one this week , determining what I still like and what fits, and it's also spurred on doing the same with my tops. I thinned out my closet quite significantly last weekend, and have moved all of my pants onto the infamous rolling rack so I can see them. I sure don't have a lot left -but I kind of like it right now! It took a bit of fiddling to find the right top to wear here ; the first couple were too voluminous and just JFE (which I wasn't happy with; I need better than JFE to feel good) . This is an old die-cut leather shell, which sits nicely under this unlined coat for all-day wear. I felt very "dressed up" , which isn't my norm anymore, but I liked it. I really want a new bag now too. The boots were surprisingly comfortable and that pointy heel comes in handy in the soft ice and snow I'm still worried I don't have enough to wear with these culottes.....not sure how else to style them. Thoughts? Suggestions? Eye rolls?
