Love it! Those boots are awesome!

Lisa,
You look spectacular in this; I wear my black coulottes with all black as well.

To feel killer, my bet is you will only like these with other tonal darks: ink blue, maybe a black cherry or plum. It’s the vertical line achieved by color that makes the outfit (unless you can find or create a top with a verticle line down the center).

I wonder what a jean jacket would look like over this? Or a black blazer or cardigan over a colored sleeveless shell? Your closet may have possibilities.

I have very similar black EF culottes so will be watching for ideas here. I like the different textures of black here and have some kitten heeled pointy toe boots that you are inspiring me to try. I got my culottes in late summer and have not played enough with styling.

This is great! Love all the components and how they play together. With culottes, I tend to like tops (like this one) that are fitted around the waist. I think a reasonably tailored shell/tank + shorter jacket with some shaping would also work.

The combination of culottes and pointy boots looks perfect to me. Also like your soft makeup. I would wear this outfit happily fwiw.

I like everything about this outfit. From your hair and makeup to your boots. You look fabulous in black!

Eyerolls here, but in awe!:-) Please keep the boots(are they flatsl, block heeled or stiletto?)+love this kind of edgy shine (leather with embroidery so special) on the top to wide legs (culotte)- and the coat, wow!

Great look, Lisa. Love the fitted top with the culottes. I have a sugar eye for culottes and cropped wide-legged pants. The BR lace top would look phenomenal as well.

Seriously, the whole outfit is fantastic on you. I think the proportions are spot on.
I have some culottes and you are inspiring me to pull them out. Of course I passed on my boots like that , but they probably didn't come up high enough for culottes anyway.
Congrats on the closet edit I appear to be paralyzed with mine. I can't seem to get past the " I paid a lot for that I should wear it " and the " I might need that " Sigh.

Lisa - sorry at work no time to read. Went on ebay. There are some sellers that look authentic with tags. Much more doable price. Just a thought!! Btw you always look fab. Love the outfit!

Really love the boots with culottes. Agree with above that they are probably best with a fitted top like the one you are wearing. I'm not big on fitted tops, hence me and culottes probably will not get together but I do love this look on you.

Great outfit, I love the proportions and the different textures. Have you tried your other sleeveless blouses? They seem to work well.

Robin, Bella, Diana - thank you , I agree that a fitted top is the way to go. I don't love them by themselves either ....body confidence has to be high to wear them as is.

Gail - it's taken me a few years to get my closet winnowed down. And I'm not done yet. The way I deal with the guilt over having spent money on things I get rid of is to remind myself I am providing someone else with an opportunity . Giving back , as it were.

lyn - these have a 2 inch heel.

gryffin - a blue McQueen is winging its way to me soon.....

It's been way too long since I've seen a WIW of yours! I love this outfit. That top looks amazing with the culottes and I do love the pointy boot as well (though I get the all-day-wear thing). Also, while I always love your blonde, this particular brown looks fantastic on you. What a great set of pictures!

Lovely. What is there not to like about this ensemble? It all looks so put together and very edgy. The boots make the outfit. I always go to fashion sites if I have a item I am not sure how to style. I agree with layers, it looks great on others but I always feel I have to fiddle with them, so they are not for me.
