Happy new year all,

I wore this outfit to host a dinner at home. It feels relaxed to me because the pencil skirt is a ruched, tube skirt and because I’m wearing slides. Not exactly the outfit formula because it’s summer here but in the same spirit.

I hadn’t planned to post this photo. I took it because it was the first wear of my silk top since I overdyed it a few weeks ago. This summer, I am doing a closet “edit” project where I’m trying to work out ways of salvaging items that I’m not wearing. I’d stopped wearing this top because it had developed perspiration stains under the arms and a little around the neck. I decided to overdye the top dark green to see if it disguised the stains.

I think it worked out pretty well. Pic 2 is before. Pic 3 is after. The stains are still there but you have to look for them. And they could be part of the pattern. I actually like the top better in these colours.
