First off, I don't want you all to think I need a boot intervention! I know no one here judges spending habits, but still - I think discipline has a place in style... So, Alaskans get a dividend check every year from taxes imposed on the oil companies that use our natural resources. It varies between $800- - $2000, and this year it was about $1200. It is basically "free" (but taxable) money (not that it makes up for the crazy cost of living here!). That's why I feel justified using some of it, and the money I've gotten from consigning stuff, to splurge.

So here are the boots I'm considering. I have to say, none of them fill a huge hole, and I'm not sure I need any of them now that they're here at the house. Thoughts?

The first are Nine West and I have nothing remotely similar. I've tightened the laces on one of the boots.

The second are the Steve Madden ones I'd posted here that are at Nordstrom. They have that cool red zipper factor.

The third are the Kork-Ease boots in bronze and brown suede. They are just plain funky but for some reason I love them - maybe because they add 4 inches to my height! Obviously I would not wear them with these pants.

There's one more pair that just arrived that I'll post later to replace my OTK boots that were too high-heeled (I consigned those!). I adore them but fear they are too high on me; they are truly over my knees.

ETA: Boot #4, the OTK pair.
