Longtime lurker, fairly new participant here (wouldn't post from work, now am back to WFH projects)....

Is it possible to agree with ALL the points made on this thread? Because I keep nodding along!

I've been on lots of online forums, general to special interest, and see the dynamics here as pretty common. AKA somewhat intimidating to folks trying to become more active...as mentioned multiple times upthread, it's sort of the proverbial nature of the beast.

I certainly agree that more participation gets you more connection but geez, this joint is a timesuck, ha!

[And that's from a lurker who could sort of keep people's likes/dislikes/lifestyles straight before posting. I know if I cycle back to getting onsite work I will probably be McLurky again due to time constraints.]

I've given up on keeping IDs-alias-names clear, but one thing I would *love* "photo posters" to consider in the name of inclusivity:

When asking "do you think Item X would look good on me?" or "do you know where I can find Item Y?" it would be helpful to have a link to yourself.

[Especially thinking of the tall members needing longer skirts/pants...as a relative shorty, I rarely check lengths for myself so it's not second nature -- as a result, I will happily/accidentally recommend a near-miniskirt without realizing it!]

I'm not sure I count as a lurker - I've posted sporatically for awhile now, but rarely post photos.

My biggest barrier to posting more on here is the time it takes. I kept telling myself that I should post photos more often to get feedback, but then I forget to take photos and don't put the time into writing up posts.

I notice the effort Angie and many of the regulars make to respond to posts, answer questions, and make newbies feel welcome. I imagine it takes a conscious effort to do that, instead of just responding to hot topics or familiar members. So thank you! Your efforts are noticed and appreciated!!
