I love the changing background idea. I'm still checking everything out, but haven't found any issues.

Love the new background -- (though my eye will need to adjust to the amount of white that's now on the screen when I'm lower down on a forum thread. I really love the idea of being able to tag favorite threads and can't wait to give that a try, along with the "add a photo" option.

looks great! A little information overload (especially after 3 cups of coffee this morning) but it will all soak in eventually
question.... when we upload photos they will only appear in our posts right? there is no central photo album to keep them all together?

Queenie, for now they are only displayed in your posts, but in future we will display all your photos on a tab in your profile page too.

But uploading them will always be done in the forum.

Another photo question: can photos be removed at a later date, or is "Remove Photo" only an option before it's actually posted?

The photo-posting feature is, quite simply, brilliant! As are the two activity streams. As a detail-fiend, I'm also really looking forward to reading the backstage blog to find out about the sheer labour that goes into sustaining a venture like this. I'm sure it will make me appreciate YLF all the more.

April, while you still have edit access to your post (24 hours after you posted it) you can go back in and remove photos. In our next release we will add the ability to delete them at any point from a management interface in your profile page.

Wow-I'm impressed! I will be anxious to find my way around the new sight and try out the new features! Sometimes it's hard to "teach an old dog new tricks" but I'm sure this will be a breeze. Congrats!

The favorite forum posts & photo upload are fantastic! I've used both already and they are extremely easy to use. The favorites are easy to notice when you're looking at the list of posts. Congrats Greg (& Angie!) everything seems to be quite successful.

I love the new look, and though I haven't tried it yet, I think the photo feature will simplify posting (and offering feedback) outfits. I can't wait to spend more time looking around. My only complaint is that you're making YLF even more addictive!

Greg, I have a question about the filters in the in Activity feature on member profile page: it only filters out activities done after the launch of the new site, not the old ones from before. The forum posts works well, it filters both. Is this intentional or a bug?

You are right that the activity stream is only processing new events after the site went live.

The Forum Posts feature is different in that it looks in the database all the way back to the start of the forum.

So...

activity is really about seeing what's happening right now or recently
forum posts feature is about digging into the past

I hate change. But the new YLF site = wonderful. Love every new aspect that I've explored so far.

Quick question: when we add photos to our own forum posts, can we go back later to delete them? Approaching this from a privacy perspective ~ for example, I can see myself posting WIW pics to share but then wanting to delete after a few weeks. The old edit function was good for less than a day. How does this all work now?

Many, many thanks to you both, Greg and Angie. The work that went into all the changes must have been superhuman.
