As Angie mentioned, she and I had an absolute ball catching up while she was in the Netherlands last week. We also explored the shops in Velp (the beautiful town where Angie's dear Papa lives) and Arnhem, and I found some wonderful things which I promised to show you
Angie wasn't exaggerating when she said that COS is looking really good at the moment. We both tried on lots of stuff, and I came home with this fun blue dress with pockets and pleated detailing, and a striped tee in a bright cobalt with a flattering boat neckline.
(I'm adding a quick pic of me sporting the dress with a denim jacket, Hue black cut-out leggings, grey pearls and crossbody bag.)
In a wonderful store in Velp, Angie found me this raincoat in pale blue that has a hint of mint in certain lighting, so right up my alley. I was in urgent need of a casual, longer length coat that keeps out the chill and rain, and this one ticked all the boxes. When Angie then showed me this lightweight maxi cardigan in sea foam, I immediately knew it had to come home with me too.
In a different store in Arnhem, we quickly found a patterned scarf that works well with the new raincoat, after which we started looking for Spring footwear.
Over the last few months I must have tried on at least 40 pairs of shoes (different styles), many of them were super comfortable (I'm really amazed at the huge amount of stylish and comfortable flat shoes out there at the moment) until I added my custom orthotics. Then they suddenly became too tight, started pinching in certain places, or just didn't fit anymore I won't lie, it's been very frustrating, and I was extra looking forward to being able to shop for a few hours with Angie because if anyone could help me find something that would work...
And score we did, with these two pairs of slip-on loafers/sneakers from Gabor! One in a pale blush with cute bow detail, and another pair in a more saturated pink and glittery surface. Funny thing is that at the beginning of the season I had mentioned I would love a pair of pink shoes, but after the difficult search I honestly would have been happy with any colour really, and then in the end, I did end up with two pairs of pink peds.
I'm smiling each time I open my closet and see my new loot, and it's extra fun wearing these clothes because they have such happy memories attached to them.
