I have wanted a Burberry trench for years, and I decided I would get one for myself when I turned 50. I took me almost a year to get one, but I finally did when I was in Chicago last month. The SA the Burberry store was great - she really knew the merchandise and what would suit my body. I thought I wanted a traditional trench, and tried on a bunch of styles, colors and sizes, but they all overwhelmed me. The SA then pulled out a more fitted trench which fit me much better. It wasn't the style of trench I had intended to buy, but I bought it anyway... I hope it wasn't a mistake. I know I can't wear bulky sweaters underneath it, but I'm OK with that as I wouldn't wear the trench in the winter (I'm in the cold Midwest). I had the sleeves shortened, and received the coat at work today. My husband said the coat was "OK" but didn't share my excitement. Such is life.
