I love houndstooth! When Angie showed us the outfit formula in early September, I knew I had to try it and post, but not until the weather cooled down enough to wear these items from my fall wardrobe. So, here goes:

1. Houndstooth dress.
This princess-seamed sheath was thrifted, the kind of timeless classic that is never "in" but never "out" either. Worn layered over a long-sleeved crew neck T (in colder weather I'd use a turtleneck) and with knee-high boots to distract from the short hemline. The final photo, out of order, is a close-up of the dress fabric.
This is my Janet-from-The-Good-Place dress

2. Houndstooth jacket
This Pendleton collarless blazer is navy rather than black, and I couldn't say no to it. Styled very traditionally with navy knife-pleated skirt, tie-neck paisley blouse, and ballet flats.

3. Houndstooth skirt
I wore this outfit twice... and will wear it again. The bright plaid blouse, thrifted recently, seemed the perfect companion for this houndstooth pencil skirt I found at Mark's. (Usually I pair the skirt with a turtleneck.)

4. Houndstooth pants
These have been with me so long I think high-rise pants have gone out and back in at least twice. On this occasion my waist agreed to tucking in the mock-turtleneck for maximum Audrey effect, with ballet flats and ponytail. I added a houndstooth ruana just because I could.

Thank you for travelling through my closet with me. Thank you Angie for the inspiration. Thank you Inge for training my eye through your outfit analyses.

Next challenge will be the loud plaids...
