Nothing terribly special here, other than I had a second to take a picture or two before heading out the door and liked my outfit for the first time in quite awhile. But , as usual, one little thing went wrong and nagged at me all day : the front seam of one leg of these Liverpool jeans , which is topstitched in a contrasting thread, twisted to one side as I walked and stayed that way. Drove me crazy. Jeans are probably a half or full size too big, which is my own problem , not the jeans', but the twisted seam really spoiled my happiness factor. What do you do though? I've worn them a few times, and bought them quite a few months ago now, so I guess this one is on me. Boo

I've never been a fan of fair isle sweaters, trending or not, but this one ticked off all of my boxes and I couldn't resist. Metallic bronze intarsia design, pale grey body , soft texture, and oversize /fluid fit. (I deliberately sized up) The jacket was a funny purchase too : I bought it a few months ago, but once home decided it was too bulky, made me look huge, and was too trendy and did I really need it anyway blah blah blah . Decided to take it back, then when running out the door the next day - grabbed it to wear because it was the perfect finishing piece. Mad at myself once in the car for giving in so easily, took it off, and put it back in the bag to return. Repeated this process so many times I finally had to acknowledge I was keeping it. It's so lightweight yet incredibly warm, and kind of fun to wear. May not be the world's most flattering jacket, but that's not the goal here.

The jacket colour is echoed in the base colour of the boots, and in the topstitching of the jeans...and in the metallic thread of the sweater. Did a brown/bronzy eye, caramel lipstick, and a bit of an earthy plum blush (which sounds weird but...)

Fragrance of the day : Chanel 19
bag : old faithful Fendi
coat: Topshop
jeans: Liverpool
sweater: Vero Moda
earrings: Pilgrim
boots: Aldo

All in all a cheap and cheerful outfit (except for the bag) that I'd like to repeat with jeans that don't twist and stretch.
