Hi all. I've been in Melbourne for a while for work. The week started out warm but rapidly turned cool. (Melbourne is known for its changeable weather.) Here is some of WIW. It's a story told in dodgy hotel pics. Enjoy the lamp shade.
Outfit 1 (pic 1). I have been looking for a double button, military style, dressy (not denim) A-line skirt for over a year. But everything I found was much too short. Then I found a wool, lined, midi length version at Country Road. I had it shortened to knee length and it's now exactly what I wanted. Worn with Ted Baker floral top.
Outfit 2 (pics 2-3). I was going for a bit of a 60s mod dress look. I need go go boots! The top is a boxy heavy knit from Cue. I wore this outfit with the jacket to a conference and without the jacket to a drinks function later in the day. The jacket is H&M (last year).
Outfit 3 (pics 4-5). Portmans skirt with Veronika Maine top and Kut from the Kloth jacket. More military. More dark floral. But not enough
Outfit 4 (pic 6). Worn to dinner with colleagues. Same top as in outfit 2. Alice+Olivia skirt.
Outfit 5 (pic 7). New leather jacket bought in Melbourne (worn with same items as outfit 1). It's my wedding anniversary shortly and hubby suggested I choose a gift while in Melbourne (which is fine by me). The jacket is Massimo Dutti, the Zara brand that isn't generally available here in Australia yet. I also got a handbag. They were both inexpensive finds at an outlet store. This was my last day. I had coffee with fellow fabber, the lovely Helen11, who happened to be visiting Melbourne at the same time.
Glad, glad, glad to be home now
