OMG! These outfits are perfection!!!

Thanks Sterling. Floral, burgundy and military detailing all spark joy for me. I hope you find something similar.
Thanks Sally. Yes, floral X 4 is a real possibility And I am on the lookout for a floral bag and a floral umbrella (need it here lately). I could end up going floral X 6! I wonder where else I could add some floral...
Thanks Lisap. And go team boots + skirts!
Thanks Lyn, a meet up with you and Deborah would be fun! Next time
Thanks Bonnie, Nora, Harmonica, Mirjana, Joyce and Elizabeth.
Jane and Barbara Diane, thank you, I am so pleased that you are inspired! I find it hard to avoid a lot of black when travelling (I am not as clever as Angie) but I hoped that the florals and the burgundy touches would make the outfits feel more interesting and more "me".
And thanks Angie. There's no place like home.

Love the skirts and the burgundy tops!

Fabulous outfits. You wear florals so well. And look at that happy dog!

What a great capsule! I especially love the military pieces and the short boots, which have an impeccable fit.

OMG, what a fab capsule! I love how it all goes together. And that skirt is totally a rare find!

I love your "rockin" style and can I have your body and toned arms please? You totally inspire me and love that Ted Baker rose tee, plus the sailor skirt. I noticed that one of your items (skirt) was from Country Road. That's an Aussie brand, isn't it? I remember we had that store here about 15 years ago before they closed.

You have a great, uniquely identifiable style!

I hope you are not tired of hearing how great you look. I think you have my favorite wardrobe on the forum. I love the colors you've chosen, and glad you are back home with your cute doggie.

I love everything, Brooklyn. There's something just magical about an A-line skirt and knee-high boots. Your instinct in shortening this one was spot-on. Also, can I just say I'm super-impressed by your travel capsule? You've done the magical trick of making the same items look completely different mixed and matched in different outfits.

Thanks Jenn. I really go for the retro vibe of the A-line skirt and the tall boots. I was only half joking about the go go boots - I really wouldn't mind having a pair
Thanks delurked. I wouldn't mind borrowing some of your closet too!
Thanks citygirldc. You are right about Country Road! They did expand O/S some time ago. They had a store in New York for a while. They are a bit similar to Banana Republic.
Thanks Sisi. I am obsessed with floral. Obsessed!
And thanks Zoiechic, Dana, Viva and Momofthree1980.

Love the new military skirt, but all others are fab, too! Esp love the laser cut one in the conference outfit-a great trick to do so much better than a safe but boring skirt suit- oh, and there are the geometric prints, color blocks and the moody florals- always mixed with great tops, wow!
Now can I have a question on your summer shoes, please?
Why did you choose the strapped peep toe bootie sandals in gold and not silver? You know I admired you summer shoe collection(esp the bootie sandals) and you have always matched the the gold ones so gracefully with bl&w outfits and your accessories with silver hardware (maybe silver jewellery, too).
I'll have to make my choice soon (gold vs. silver) and wondered if you have had some points which I am not seeing yet. I am also blonde but and have rather silver jewellery and hardwares on bags(+chunky cuffs) and wear bl&w often. Can you help me decide? Thnax sooooooo much!

Thanks Lyn. I am so flattered to be asked for help with this question!
My sandals are rose gold, not yellow gold, so a little more muted than yellow gold and quite a nice combination with silver (jewellery). I tend to prefer warm toned shoes generally, because they bookend my hair. Although I am blonde I am a golden brownish blonde, not a platinum blonde, so I think warm tones work better with my hair than silver or grey. That's why I prefer the warm taupe boots I am wearing in this wiw to cool grey boots (even though I have a pair of grey boots). I do wear silver jewellery a lot with black and white but I mix metals. In this photo of a previous wiw I am wearing black and white with rose gold shoes, silver jewellery and gold hardware on my bag. I think (?) it works because the shoes tie in with my hair and the jewellery with the black and white of the outfit. I also wear tan coloured shoes a lot for the same reason. They are also more low contrast, and closer to a "nude" look on me, which appeals to me.
I am not sure whether you are a warm blonde or a cool blonde? If you are warm, you might prefer gold.
But silver could work if that's your preference. You don't have to bookend. I have often thought about silver or pewter coloured shoes myself!
I hope this helps. Please post a pic of your shoes when you get them

Brooklyn, thank you very much for taking the time to answer me in detail.
I first wanted one of these:
https://www.ecipo.hu/szandal-l.....arany.html
one is a yellow gold, the other is a light silver but agonized quite a long time over which would do better to me, and eventually bought these matte taupe/kind of tan/ instead:

I only read your answer today and the purchase was done on the weekend but

I so agree with you! I am also not a cool blonde, rather a warmer one and now I can really understand and agree with all you said!
I just didn't 100% liked any of the 2 metallic shades available.
(And yes, I think a rose gold/copper or a pewter silver would have gone better for me, too).
The other reason why I bought rather the taupe ones is although I very much love a daytime bling or sparkle, especially metallic anything, I always love a tan shoe either, and the taupe sandals have just a little bit lower and wider block heel

than the metallic ones and this thing made them so much easier to brisk walk in them- so, I immediately gave in. Still hope some better suitable metallic shades will be available

sometime in the future in my neck of the woods, too-
Think I'm sorted for now, will see how they work for me. Thanks so much for your help-I now relaxed to see am not the only one who consider the shades of their shoes such in an accurate way, haha!:-)

Ha ha, no worries Lyn. I am sure we are not the only ones here who think about these issues!
I really like the taupe sandals you chose. I think taupe is such a useful neutral. I have been looking for taupe ankle boots for a while. I want to split wears with my taupe knee high boots, as they are a few years old now. You'll be sorted with those.
