Thank god Lilypup made it home!!!!! I know that feeling when doggie has gone missing. My heart broke when I saw the title of your thread. I am so relieved.
That is so scary! So so glad Lillypup came back, is she alright? She didn't get burned or anything? Sending you a virtual hug and (if it would be welcome) a stiff drink.
Are you alright physically? You both gonna heal? What an emotional shock for the two of you! You were smart not to fight back. I'm glad you know she's home and people are helping you out. Hang in there! Crying and napping is totally legit.
The angels looked after your brave and clever little Pup. Tea, cake, doggie treats and a long snuggle on the couch are in order. Crying reduces stress. Let it ALL OUT.
Limping a bit and feeling cold which is prob shock to be frank. Lily seems ok. Happy and jumping around to be home. Fur stiff with coffee. I need to have a closer look at one ear. Hopefully it's just stiff with coffee and not um blood...
I keep reading this over and over Rachy and can't believe that someone would do something so horribly random. I'm with the others who say cry and let it out. You have every right.
I second Angie's advice of tea and cake -- strong sweet hot tea with milk has been good in my experience for shock or exhaustion (replaces some sugar). Lilly deserves all the biscuits.
ETA: and maybe after your walk put some frozen peas on your leg if it seems like you got a lump.
Rachylou, thank goodness Lilypup returned to you unharmed; you must have been worried out of your mind. . I can't believe this horrible thing has happened to you. Why would anyone want to do such a thing?
Please take care of yourself and your poor dog. You must both be so shaken up.
You and Lilypup need a long snuggle session. I'm so glad she is back and I hope you are feeling better. My heart dropped to my feet when I read this. Take care of you and Lilypup tonight!
