Chapter I: DH works late Friday nights, and I'm off to Athos, a delicious Greek restaurant, with a friend that I haven't seen in ages. Good wine, yummy food, great conversation, and fun shoes - what more could you ask for? I was going to head over to the mall and check out a blazer I saw in the J.Crew catalog, but it was near to the mall's closing time, so I headed home. Big. Mistake.
Chapter II: Saturday morning, and I'm off to breakfast at my favorite diner with a different friend (I've left DH home this time, poor fellow). Same outfit, different footwear, and I've added a black bag and my black-rimmed specs to bookend. It's snowing when I leave the diner, so J.Crew will have to wait.
Chapter III: It stopped snowing! It's Saturday evening, so off to church I go. Since I haven't worn this outfit for very long either day, it's a no-brainer to wear it again and just swap out the shoes. I'll get to J.Crew for sure now! Except when I leave church it's snowing like crazy. I'm homeward bound again. My wallet (and DH) may be happy, but I am sad.
The moral of this excessively long story? Never put off 'till tomorrow when it's not snowing today. (Isn't that how the saying goes?)
Epilogue: So it snowed, and it snowed, and it's still snowing, for the second weekend-into-Monday in a row. Pic 4 is Cosmo Edward and his roadway system in the backyard.
