Aldefa, Kkards, Diane, Peri, Mo, Suz, Parsley, Ceit, and Donna -- Thank you all for the thumbs up and for celebrating what seems like a good buy!
I guess as skinnies aren't my thing I don't notice the details when others wear them, so I wasn't sure if it was better to have them be *less* tight and fall down straight from the knee to the calf. I have pretty muscular calves so that is a sheer impossibility.
My denim ones bunched, but as they weren't sheen-y and were softer it was a bit more subtle to my eye. Glad to know the bunching isn't totally strange with this style.
Sveta and CocoLion -- Thank you as well!
I'm grouping my response as Sveta, your dedication to pants with an amazing fit is always inspiring, and Coco, I always want to look the way you do in skinnies (proportions with tops, flattery etc).
As I wear bootcut trousers most of the time I don't mind a form-fitting silhouette in pants/jeans as long as it looks sleek vs Try Hard or out of touch with reality, you know? [Obviously I am trying hard to look sleek!] So I'm glad these pass muster with you both.
Coco, you made me laugh with the crop top crack -- I have a loooooong rise (~ 12 or 13", can't recall) and so there's a lot of torso to flash between the rib-cage-to-leg-join.
I usually don't care for skinnies on me, but find these tons more flattering than most I've tried. I think there's some serious lifting and shaping going on, and of course the dark charcoal/off-black (I heart coal colors) + pointed toe bootie help.
Re your blue-black pair: I would think lighter to deep blues would look great, but have a pair of wool pants that are that shade and it is trickier than I'd like...brighter blues look terrible with them. Hope you find combos you like so you can get them out and about!
