K/R - Topshop Zebra Dress - ETA more pictures

First I saw this dress as Zalando recommendation for me. I was tempted but only when I saw the same dress again as Angie top pick - I decided to order it. Problem is my DH loves it but my DD hates it. She blatantly told me that I look ridiculous in it. Which side you are on? Please help me decide should I keep it or not. All feedback welcome.

ETA - more pictures with toppers. Any clear winners or losers?

Thanks Suz and carter. My daughter is usually spot on with her feedback and I trust her opinion, more than my DH who doesn’t understand trends and fashion. I am actually surprised that he likes it, was expecting opposite outcome.
Angie - I saw the other dress too but was not sure if it is the same dress - price is somewhat different. Is maybe other colorway better for me? Which one you have on order?

Actually Anchie I am more towards DD's end I am sorry to say... ridiculous is not the right word but I personally feel you look overwhelmed by it. I have this view partly because I feel like that in my own zebra dress which is from 2010 and I've only worn about 8 times...and had varying opinions when I showed it on the forum. So loath as I am to disagree with Suz, Angie, Carter and Jane, I'm not convinced?

It looks great on you (and I'm not always a huge lover of animal prints!) Sometimes our daughters are just plain wrong. I like the zebra better than the tie dye FWIW.

I love how the print works with your hair, and how the mesh keeps it light, and not too stark a contrast. I can also see it working with any number of the blazers you've posted.

Jenni NZ - I really appreciate your feedback - this is what I am looking for. I see what you are saying - it is a lot of pattern. But you look cute in your dress.
Angie - now I can’t wait for you to get yours - hope you will post about it.
For some raeson on the site where I bought mine (zalando) tie die is 5 euros cheaper.
Keren13 - I am also not huge animal print lover especially in such a large dose. That is one of my reasons to hesitate with decision.

Kathie - I completely forgot to even try it with any of my toppers. Too late now, but will have to do it tomorrow. I expected it to be black and white but it is actually black and beige, so less contrast.

I think in the end you will manage to decide one way or the other and if you keep then embrace it and wear with pride if you can. Occasionally my best friend who is ultra stylish has hesitated about something for me that's pretty much out there when we shop together. But if she doesn't like it and I still do then I usually embrace it because it's appealing to the more boho side of me that she doesn't really share. And she ends up going "It's so you" later on.

I really like it and would wear it in a heartbeat. It IS a lot of pattern though so I guess you have to decide if you're comfortable with it.

It is a lot of pattern, but I think it harmonizes with your coloring and doesn't overwhelm you at all! I have a high tolerance for pattern, so take that with a grain of salt. If you feel uncomfortable, take that into consideration for sure.

Cute style and good fit on you...but....I'd be tempted to try the other colour. I do find this black/white quite "out there" for you. I'm not in love with it, sorry.

I couldn’t decide so I hope you don’t mind I showed my husband for a second opinion. He voted keep. He said it’s form fitting but not too much and not to short as to be distracting, and the pattern appears more like as a sworling pattern rather than overt animal print. He said “Yeah just wear some shoes and you’re fine.”
I’m guessing your DH likes how it fits and your DD doesnt like the pattern.

It's a simple shape so the print is what MAKES this dress. I like how it is just two colors, but arranged so the print sort of twists and turns. I see tiger and zebra stripes are trending now, so - off you go looking fabulous!

It looks totally fabulous on you. Maybe your DD is not a pattern person. It is a bold and sexy dress. Maybe she is uncomfortable with her mother looking sexy? Whereas DH is not, of course! You have to decide what you are comfortable with but I think you look great.

I like it and the fit is perfect on you! But I’m an animal print person so keep that in mind. It’s a bold statement but if you ‘feel it’ go for it. I’ve been thinking about ordering it but I just don’t have the need for a dress.

I really love it. The fit is great and so is the cut- love it around neckline and shoulders. If you feel it’s too “busy” around your face you could use a solid color scarf or even a big, plain bib necklace.
