K/R - help me decide on color and size -ETA more pictures

Apologies for being a forum hog this days, can you tell I am spending holidays at home, relaxing and shopping
I need your help deciding on color and size for this down coat. I ordered same coat in two colors and two sizes and they just got delivered this morning. I am wearing my heaviest blazer under it in the pictures because layering is most important criteria for me. I am showing you the rumba red color in smaller size, and stone color in bigger size, but I also have opposite combinations. Tell me, which size and which color you prefer. Please ignore everything else, my unstyled hair, no makeup face and house shoes.

ETA - more pictures of stone color in smaller size - one with and one without bulkiest layers. Interesting that smaller size is discounted more than the bigger. Fake fur is perfect match with my hair- even has some yellowing too

Smaller size for sure.

I like both colors on you. Will you be able to keep the cream one clean, or keep up with cleaning it? That would be my only hesitation if I expected the coat to get heavy wear.

I like the small size and the stone colour. But that is just my taste, you look good in both colours.

I like the smaller size. I think both colors look good on you, but the red brightens your face a bit more. SO, smaller and red is my vote.

Smaller size for sure. Both colours look good. If you have to worry about keeping the coat clean (such as frequent use of public transport) and don’t have Angie’s super power, then my vote is the red. However I do have a slight preference for the lighter colour, it is so pretty on you, it just may not be the most practical choice.

Just to clarify - I dont have an issue with keeping the lighter colors clean - I already have a very light gray one which I need to wash after 30 or so wears which I think is acceptable. And I do use public transport on daily basis.

I love the lighter color for you, hands down. If you are sure the smaller size is roomy enough for all your layers -- and still comfortable to sit in -- I'd say the smaller size. I don't mind coats being a little large, but I can't stand it for myself when they are too small!

Stone color it is, that was also my preference. I am still conflicted about the size. I am with Janet on that - I don’t mind coats little larger to be comfortable with all the layers. But does it look too big? I can fit all the layers under smaller size and sit in it too but it does fill more constricting.

The smaller one looks a little snug to me. I don’t think the larger coat looks too large. How would it look with less bulky items under it, though?

I think both sizes work and agree on the colour. But why don’t you post a picture of that combo? Lighter colours can be less forgiving of fit issues.

While I have a slight preference for the smaller size, I don't think the larger one looks bad and you want to avoid feeling constricted. So I would pick on comfort. I'm an outlier and love the red on you.

Smaller for sure, esp since you're pairing with your heaviest blazer here. [You may find you roast in the combo and *want* lighter layers beneath.]

Both colors are lovely on you but since you have a light grey coat already, perhaps the red is a better choice. If you want to feel a little more energized in the winter, red for sure!

I like the smaller size in red. Red is one of my favourite colours though so I am biased.
BTW your hair is looking great! The colour is awesome, I don't see any yellow.

PS being a forum hog is great. I love all your posts. I am having a quiet holiday period too as DH has to work these "non-statutory- holiday" days Thurs/Fri/Sat and Monday. I am tidying and sorting. Some of it is very boring.

From looking at the pics, the larger size does look too big. The waist sits on the low side and the arms look too long. The smaller size, on the other hand, looks like a great fit all around. I love both colours but the stone colour is my fave for you!

They both look good. Try walking around and see if the smaller size scooches up. I bought a coat last year that was a bit too small and over the course of a long walk, it scoots up and exposes my rear. Not a good look!

Well you don't need another vote - definitely the stone color, size depends on comfort but the smaller looks good.

Both colours are lovely! I would go with smaller size, but it's hard to advise on colour since you already have light grey. I'd probably go with the lighter one if I didn't know you had that puffer already. But since you do, the red is tempting.
