Jan challenge day 10, vanilla girl

Ok let me start by saying I’m not on tik tok and I am not the “vanilla girl aesthetic”, but I can dress like one.
I was going to wear my cream boots, but actually thought these looked better. This puffer is usually reserved for the real cold days, but anything for fashion. And if I really was a vanilla girl I would have switched to my spring handbag, but that’s too much work.
Today’s outfit is actually a repeat of one I’ve worn before and it’s one of my favorites. Easy peasy but looks pulled together

Nothing wrong with the vanilla girl aesthetic! I rather like it with the brown accessories. And I’m in awe of anyone who can keep head-to-toe cream looking fresh all day.

jenn, yes, i meant no disrespect to the true vanilla girls out there...but i read this "The vanilla girls' house is spotless, and just as cozy and cream-colored as her wardrobe. She wears matching pjs to bed, always has a yummy beverage in hand, and journals twice a day.", i laughed and know i was an imposter! i can dress the part, but no one who has ever been to my house would describe it as minimalist, i never meet a book i didn't want, and i have 3, yes, 3 sets of dishes.

Haha! That vanilla girl is definitely a myth. Much like the “French woman” everyone wanted to be in the early aughts.

No idea what all the vanilla girl schtick is but I LOVE this outfit . I’ve been wishing I had a longer ivory puffer - it’s so chic in winter . Mine is a short classic North Face one which looks so outdated now - or too classic I guess.

I am not a tik tok follower either, so wasn't aware of the Vanilla girl trend! I love the outfit and commend on being able to keep a clean white puffer - I am so clumsy that it would definitely get a dirty mark just by looking at it!

Love this! I love the idea of vanilla girl, but definitely wouldn't work with my lifestyle!

Until this week I had never heard of this vanilla girl thing either, but as I said, I’ve worn this winter white outfit before, and it’s one of my favs. Then this weekend as I was scrolling my Apple news feed while prepping my lunches for the week, there is was….and I knew one of the outfits I was going to wear this week. I love (insert sarcasm) how tik tok reinvents the wheel.

Oh, and don’t get to close to the coat, which I realized when I got home today, was a stain on the back, I must have brushed up on something.
