Is peplum still in?

I adore this red peplum top as it covers my small hips and no bum. But it does show off my legs. So I was thrilled that peplum was a fashion item last year.
Now the big question... am I outdated this year? I don't really care if it is, I will still wear it, but I am curious to know. So let me hear your opinions.

I have uploaded two photos of how I usually wear it and one photo of the winter version of the peplum outfit.

I voted 'nay', as in, 'nay, you are not outdated this year', in my opinion! I like it! It has a classical ballerina-at-home look. The color is glorious

Sure hope so! I just added two peplum tops to my closet. Love how they give me a waist!

I think peplum is slightly disappearing, but THIS top is incredibly flattering on you, both in terms of shape and color. It looks more like a very short fit and flare dress because the skirt is longer than on a peplum top. It doesn't look like some bulky extra fabric attached, but more like a long top that clinches at the waist. Does that make sense?

I'm still seeing tons of peplum tops in the stores and on Pinterest. So I'd say while it's no longer what I'd call cutting-edge, it is still very much in style.

And I must say yours is one of the loveliest and most flattering I've seen!

Vavoom! your top is one of the very few peplum garments I've seen that make it make sense to me that this trend was as *in* as it was. It's yours! Bet Runcarla's look good, too.

I think I have lost count of the number of peplums I own! I think they are brilliant for apple shapes and muffin tops like mine! And yours is a stunning color and flattering fit. YLF!

Definitely still in, in the US at least. I know this because, much as I really like them on others, it's far too feminine a silhouette for my own vision of myself. So, since I don't want one, I find them everywhere.

Your outfit is great. I like how the slim pants make the top look almost like a dress and lengthen your legs. Very good proportions.

I love this look, unfortunately peplums make my hips look enormous but like you said it is a great style to give you curves if you are slim. Are peplums still in, I'd say yes certainly here in the UK.

Peplums are still going strong, I think, but yours will probably survive the demise of the "trend" because it looks like such a personal piece on you -- perfect color and fit. I like the simple styling here. You look wonderful!

I vote yay for peplum. I still see them in stores. Although I saw more in short or no sleeve styles. I have a no sleeve top I'm waiting til spring to start sporting again.

I never could find a peplum which met all my requirements. As most of you say, they are usually shorter and I need to cover hips and bum. So I had this one made by a seamstress. Hence the perfect fit, style and colour. I wore it once with black skinnies but as Greyscale noticed, with the shorter trousers the proportions are better. (I am not very good at proportions.)
