I've been thinking about light shoes & dark bottoms since Angie posted this ensemble way back at the beginning of January. But I'm honestly not sure about it. So I'm wondering which shoes my follow fabbers would choice for today's outfit
So are you...all about the dark...or are you heading to the light?

(Of course any/and all feedback welcome)

I like the light booties. They create interest.

For me, white footwear with darks, especially in fall/winter, is an acquired taste (thank you, Angie). Now, I see it as a simple way to up the style quotient in my often neutral outfits. Only hesitate in the slush or snow...

I like them both and would wear it both ways... I would wear my white leather sneakers with this look as I don't have white boots.

I think both look good. The white is fresh and ties in nicely with the stripes. The bit of ankle makes the black ones work too and lightens the look of all-dark-neutrals. Looks great either way. Loving that blazer hoodie.

Dark, but I'm a lower contrast kind of girl. I also thought the booties were socks at first glance. Nice jacket.

I like the white! I have a pair of white and black booties. Took me a while to get my eye used to the contrast with dark pants but now I love it !

Your post title reminded me to take vitamin D, which I promptly got up and did, so in my book it's a winner no matter which footwear you choose!

The white booties highlight the top and stripes, more spring-like and fashion forward. The dark shoes are when you want/need to blend in.

The dark looks more classic but the light looks more modern and fun. You could also try something I between that bookends your hair.

i'm totally suprised that white seems to be the clear winner....this was my 1st time wearing these boots with dark pants, i've only worn them with white or bleach denim....
my 1st inclination was to wear the dark shoes, but in my head i heard Angie's voice saying "wear the white booties, wear the white booties". ...and i can see that the dark shoes create a prefectly fine work outfit, but the white booties create a fashion foward(ish) work outfit.

@JenniNZ--no worries, yes i did ask, and yes i want your true and honest opinions...and interesting that you thought it looked like socks, as did a few others.

I like the white booties with this outfit, especially with the jacket open and showing more of the white top underneath.
That said, personally I doubt I would have gotten out of the store with white booties, let alone out of the house in them. I have a hard time choosing white footwear for myself. I did recently get a pair of white sneakers, though, so there is hope.
