IBGB ensemble ideas with Ms. M

Now that I can walk in my closet,

Ms. M urged me to style her up with Angie's Ink, Brown, Gray, and Black ensemble idea.

1) Ink - hobo bag; Brown - sandals; Gray - stripes in skirt and some of the print in top; Black - stripes in skirt and parts of top.

2) Ink - sandals; Brown - animal print clutch and heel straps on sandals; Gray - pencil skirt; Black - stripes and faux leather pocket on top.

3) Ink - sandals; Brown - linen shorts and top; Gray - clutch; Black - print in top.

4) Ink - drapey top with cut away sleeves and some of print in clutch; Brown - handle of clutch and some of print; Gray - statement necklace; Black - drapey pants and strappy heels.

How did I do? I found it hard to represent gray in my summer wardrobe. I have necklaces and scarves, but it's too hot for that. Also I don't have gray summer shoes. Hmm...wardrobe hole?

These look great AJ! I was actually expecting to see more ink/blue, you look like you did quite well with the grays. I adore #4, I really hope you wear that lovely out of the house soon ^^

I really like #4, the simplicity of #2, and am intrigued by the pattern (and texture) mixing in #1. For gray summer shoes I do silver metallic, works for me.

@Aida - I had lots of denim that I could have worked with, but I wanted to keep it summer friendly. I'm definitely going to revisit this color combo come fall!

@rabbit - I did do a shoe exchange this month and got the SE silver Trina sandal, but Angie's ensemble idea didn't have shiny bright grays and I was staying with her dark neutral suggestions.

Ooohh, hadn't thought of that, Sveta. I think that will be my date night outfit for tomorrow. Is it too much for just dinner and a movie?

These outfits are wonderful, AJ! I like all of them. I especially love that shorts outfit! What a gorgeous top, and I couldn't tell the shorts were brown except by the description. But that made it even more dear to my heart--love getting dark brown into the mix.

Thanks, Firecracker! Yeah, my tablet doesn't take the best pics and I did notice that the colors were not clear, thus the added descriptions.

I think you did a great job with the concept. My favourites are #1 and #2. Isn't it natural to substitute a bit of the white for the grey since it is summer months? I think it is perfectly within the parameters and very fresh. Well done!
