I know I'm not the only one... (red Hinge tweed jacket)

I recently scored the red Hinge tweed jacket at the Rack. I love it. I've been wanting a tweed cropped jacket and the red was perfect because I don't have any red!
I like it layered over my black sheath dress, but I also want to find more casual ways to wear it.
I love the idea of the outfit in the stock photo below, but I'm having trouble finding a similar blouse.
And I'm also curious to see what the rest of you are wearing yours with. Care to share?
Or do you have any other ideas for me?

Great choice, Sarah. Pair it with a gray top and dark wash skinnies tucked into black boots. Or with a geometric print top and black pencil skirt, tights and flats. I love red - it's amazing how it can perk up an entire wardrobe. I like turquoise nugget jewelry with red, it really pops against the red!

love it. I really wanted the blue one from ATL, but once I put it on it was flattering on me at all.

Hm, let's see . . . I've worn it over a sleeveless merino wool turtleneck with jeans & boots, over a sleeveless gray dress, and with a black silk shell (with jeans again). I also wore it with the NAS Halogen exposed zipper silk blouse (I have it in the black pattern) and that seemed to work too ~ at least, the shape of the blouse worked, maybe the colors didn't.

I don't own this jacket but I will suggest, substitute the red jacket for the cardi in this outfit:

You can also wear it with your white button down and black cowl neck top, again with a pair of jeans on the bottom.

I have worn mine just once with a grey pencil skirt and a cream tank under it. I really want to wear it with jeans but I need a longer top under it which covers the crotch of the jeans.
I have an idea: as there are so many of us owning this particular jacket why don't we post pictures of our outfits with this jacket in one thread. This way anybody can use it as inspiration!

Great ideas! Rae, I love the slightly rocker chick vibe. I want to try skinny jeans, black suede pumps, and a top of some sort. Great inspiration!

I have a long drapey black top with a similar shape to the one you pictured that seems to work. I also love to make my jacket more casual by wearing a blue denim shirt under it, cuffs out and turned up over tha jacket sleeves and collar popped. Usually this is with black jeans, but it should work with blue jeans too.

What a lovely jacket! And I can imagine how pretty the color and the shape looks on you! I think the versality of dressing it up or down is almost endless. You can wear it with with either black or dark wash blue jeans as well as with black dress pants or skirts (I would say either black or dark grey). It would look smashing with a pencil skirt (which you have quite a few of and you look absolutely stunning in them!). As for the top... a lovely shell type one with jeans or skirts, a nice/good quality T-shirt (black or in a nice shade of grey) whilst wearing jeans at the bottom or an elegant silk one whilst pairing the jacket with the skirt or dress pants. As for the shoes... endless choices again - depending what you are pairing the jacket with - beginning with flats when wearing it with jeans, a great pair of pumps with either skirt or dress pants or a wonderful pair of tall boots with the skirts/sheet dresses or booties with the jeans (and skirts as well). I would also wear a very subtle jewellery around the neck not to take away too much from the jacket itself.
Hmmm, no matter what you do, you are going to look incredible as you always do.

Sarah, you're not the only one:) I just received this jacket yesterday in the mail and I'm kicking myself for not snapping up the top in the stock photo when I could.

I'm going to wear it with a crewneck black shell with jeans tucked into the Boutique 9 Rusty ankle boots on Friday. I'm still looking for other options too and need a longer, flowy cream top to go with it.

I think any long flowy tops will look lovely with this jacket. Also a sequin tank might be fun as Rae suggested.

Ooooh, I need to remember this thread when the 30-in-30 is over! I have a different cropped tweed jacket in blues and browns, and seeing the inspirational links from Rae and Megan, it's occurred to me it will look great with my purple Gap draped top. Thanks for the ideas.

Thanks Megan! I had not seen that and you look lovely. I tried the jacket on with my cream voluminous top and I'm not thrilled with it, so I definitely think I want to try gray now. (I"m posting the photo in a new topic because I have questions about the boots I'm wearing also.)
