Thank you all for your lovely compliments.

Ha, Jenn : I wrote with no feminist agenda in the back of my mind, but, sure, you're right.

Joy : I can definitely picture you in the last palette too.

Lisap : I'm at peace with myself, and my style, right now, and no disturbing "external factors" to rock my peaceful world...may it long last (but we all know it won't

Runcarla : I think it was Angelina Jolie, when asked if she was in line for a James Bond Girl part, who answered : no, thank you, I'd rather play James Bond

I like your outfits and the shoes are fun. I would wear everything just like you if I could pull it off. (I'm too short and wide - I'd look more like Hardy).

I love your style, full stop.

Bonnie : Lol, you'd have to grow a mustache first.

Astrid : thanks for the full endorsement

Love the result! Those shoes especially complete the rest of the outfit to a T. And the bow on that blouse! The perfect detail! You've got it.

Late to this but Isabelle, may I say how great it is to see you rocking your French insouciance in pictures at last. You look even better than I remember from the meet-up, and that's saying something. More please!

Hi Sky(nolonger)lurker --

As much as I adore the heart-adorned pose, I think your first outfit is my favorite -- love all the diagonal lines (lapels, shirt, shoe vamp) and nonchalant spin on a traditional suit look.

You know you and Ms Monroe aren't that far off in style -- her off-duty staples were Pucci crewneck silk jersey tops and slim cotton pants. I could see you in that if you ever have the urge to skew more Marilyn than Hepburn (Kate not Audrey!).

Thanks for sharing.

Vix : you have a good eye !
I wasn't aware of all the diagonal lines in this outfit.
And yes, Marilyn off duty style was very low key, cropped pants (often microchecks) and simple pullovers. I didn't know they were silk Puccis.

That first jacket! I love it.

Adding this to my style inspiration. I'm feeling myself moving towards masculine tailored looks.

(Edit: You look so much like my aunt, when she was younger. She's not French but she did live in France for many years, so maybe some is that subtle French-ness that someone mentioned above. The haircut, especially.)

Greyscale : hope you'll share your style journey towards masculine tailored looks !
