Previously on YLF : Angie compared me to Daniel Craig (jokingly, of course) and inspired this post.

So I have nothing against Daniel Craig -oh no - but I thought Skylurker, my avatar friend, it's high time we amp up the feminity of our outfits.

This week I made a point of wearing women shoes and pastels.

And that's as girly as I can get...

You have the best jackets. I need that bow tie. And your girlie shoes are serious! I feel tho you qualify for a Bond girl on your handle alone, i.e., Skylurker! Too cool for skool.

5 things I really love here:

1) Your really chic jackets. You have this amazing natural ability to wear masculine clothes & yet look so very feminine. So truly French! (Ok, in my head, only a French woman can do this while also looking effortless. The rest of us just look like we're trying hard to be cool)

2) Your very practical yet cute shoes. You're a girl after my own heart! I only like to *look at* pretty heels, not *wear* them.

3) Your smile. When you smile - you light up the photo!

4) Your poses. It looks like you're having fun while clicking these photos, so your WIWs always bring a smile to my face, Isabelle. #6 is just so cute...and #4 right behind it!

5) Your SENSE of HUMOUR. You're witty and quirky and funny....I wish we were friends in real life!!

love the model pose in #2! and the stripe on that blouse is so totally unexpected and perfect. and the bow tie in #3/4 add so much personality and fabness.

I am sadder than ever that I did not attend the party in England last year where you and Shevia met. Style sisters if ever there were two.

You look amazing. I love every one of these outfits for its simplicity, ease, and elegant tomboy femininity. As Maneera says, you have the best jackets. But also lovely tops and shoes and everything works together so well. I am curious about the lapel in jacket #1 -- is it rather wide and drapey or is that a trick of the photo and my poor eyes? Love the shoes in #1 also -- love the whole outfit!

But equally beautiful is the one with the blush pants.

Love your sense of humour and your style. Thank you for sharing with us; it is an inspiration.

You are SO fun.

Isabelle, the word Killer Charming comes to mind when I see these outfits. I love the lengths of your pants, the diagonal stripes, the girly peds, the demure bow tie, and the way your hair kinks. It all works together to create a playfully strict whole that oozes with panache. You are Charming Elegant Tomboy.

(And you DID wear #5 after all. Must have been hot in Paris. Woooohooooo!).

Haha, the footwear certainly does add a feminine touch!
I like the Peter pan collar with the tied lace at the front--very distinctive.
My favorite though is #5 for the colours. You wear those button downs so so well!

Suz, thank you. The lapels of the first jacket are wide and slightly floppy, yes - the sideway light makes the drape very conspicuous though, it's barely perceptible IRL.
I'm glad I found a way to participate on the forum and start conversations with fabbers, too.

Angie : I'll take charming elegant tomboy and run with it. So relieved you approve of the pants length, I knew you would scrutinize my ankles
And yep, we had warmer weather this week, at last.

Angie came up with the perfect word for what I see in all of these outfits: charm! Your style is pretty, fun, elegant, and charming! You do wear masculine styles with a very feminine touch. I love the heels with outfit 1. As great as you look in your collared shirts, I also really like #4--and you do Marilyn's pose proud.

You have blown me away with these. You really do look wonderful in light colors (#6). But #4 might be my favorite. My very first pair of expensive shoes were a pair of Arche sandals bought in Paris almost 20 years ago and I wore them straight for the next ten summers. Hmm, shopping goal?

Firecracker : thank you. My hair is longer than usual, I think that's why uncollared top works better than usual.

Yes, I feel at home in the outfits, they're not a stretch of my aesthetics (you're right about the first shoes) and apart from the jeans in #6, which are new, they're repeat outfits.
Wearing all of them in one week was not very kind for my feet though
The women shoes are ok for my daily commute, but the last day I had more walking to do, so I was back in my oxfords.
