First of all, it is Rosh Hashana, the Jewish new year. Happy New Year, Shana Tova and let's all have a sweet new year!

Now regarding my hair, in short (ha ha) a few months ago the front turned inexplicably yellow (I suspect an oil I was using on my face) and it drove me crazy. I consulted with my hairdresser (no experience with this), tried lots of forms of silver shampoo and a few other tricks and nothing helped. Finally had it chopped off.
I am not crazy about it. Luckily I am old enough to be able to cope with bad hair most of the time, but cannot decide if I should go further toward pixie, or grow it back out to its old style or some variation thereof. The white is slowly growing back in, but miracle solutions are welcome too.

You and your family are beautiful and I like this style on you pretty equally to your old style. Both really suit you. I think the longer front before had a bit more edge & this is softer.
I think you could carry off a pixie but I very much like you with the little bit of length.

Your hair’s nice curl would be lost if you went full pixie. But I myself love to just shave it all occasionally. Maybe keep growing it for now and just know you have the option to go shorter later, if it starts to feel awkward.

Happy New Year!! Lovely family photos - the cats are funny- and the family are beautiful.

I think the style is flattering but not as edgy as your asymmetric look - do you want that or not? You look really healthy and I can see your smile clearly.

You could go for an 80s short do - volume on top, short on the nape - not exactly like the one shown but that kind of idea?

Happy New Year. It is a super photo, brimming with love and happiness.

I think I would keep it evolving from a variation of the last style that you loved. I think you could definitely do a super, super pixie though, especially a short at the back and a longer fringe to the front.

I like the new cut, or a little longer (closer to before). I prefer that to a full pixie because it shows off your beautiful curl. I like Sally’s idea too. You look gorgeous. And I totally concur on blurred headshots

Happy new year! I have to agree with Jane, that family photo is just beautiful and so authentic, you have a wonderful family, the addition of the cats is priceless.

Now I also like this haircut, you look so pretty, but I loved your previous style which had more of a edgy look. If I had your hair, I would grow back the curls. You do have a beautiful face, so a pixie would look great on you and if you want to explore that, now may be the time given you have already had to sacrifice length. However, with beautiful hair like yours, it seems a shame to miss out on those gorgeous curls.

Your new hair looks cute on you. I agree that you mustn’t go too short otherwise you lose the curl. Honestly, you would look great with any haircut, but the silvery curls are kind of a signature of yours.

What a lovely family, Jaime. WOW. Kids towering over you! Everyone looks happy and fabulous.

I love the new hair! It's a fun fresh change from the very heavy fringe. I vote don't grow it back to the style before. You are done with that look. But grow the front a little so that you showcase more of your smashing two-toned hair.

Thank you for your kind words and good wishes. Indeed our striped cat is no fan of photographs. Or most people actually . She has a pretty strong record for swiping every guest that has come near her, but she is very attached to my husband and is forgiven due to her tough former life as a street cat.

I love your new haircut, although I'm sorry you had to go through all the hair trauma. The shorter length really shows off your face. I think you could go even shorter and it would look great.

I really like the new hair! It's a fun change. Love the style that Angie showed as well as a future option.

I get a bit of yellow on my own grey in summer -- on the fringe only. Like you, I suspect it is to ff do with a cream or sunscreen that I only use in summer. When I am wearing it in a pixie, it gets lopped off frequently enough that it is not noticeable. And I use one of those shampoos for silver hair once a week, which also helps to tone it down. I don't have any answers apart from wearing the hair right off the face in summer. Or changing brands of sunscreen/ cream until you find one that works.

This weekend I actually found a you tube video of a woman who had your similar length hair and was showing what to do with it during the growing out phase. My hair is not as short but is curly/frizzy, hence how I came to view it. The you tube woman is an actress and photographer with curly and she claims frizzy hair- "Blush with me Parmita"- look for the "growing out a pixie cut" or something like that.

I think the new haircut is really nice with your face, but the old one is good too. Good to have options!

I have white hair that gains a yellow tone on the outer layer over the summer, leading me to believe that direct sun exposure is the cause. Over the long winter here I can see the yellow move farther and farther down as my hair grows, only to appear again all over the outer layer by the end of summer. The underlayers are pure white, always. And the violet shampoo does nothing for me, either.

Something to ponder, anyway..... And you have a great face to pull off the short hair! Beautiful.
