I love chartreuse! I have two velvet chartreuse couches ( his and hers natch!) and just put the finishing touches on this cotton chartreuse sweater. I made it to go with these infrequently worn olive pants, and possibly blend into the couch for a sneaky nap. But I’m kind of preferring it with the jeans.

Very nice! It does look especially nice with the turned up jeans, but the olive pants are also good. Options!

And no, I totally clash with my decor. I’m like Howard Stern. I’ll never forget him in Architectural Digest with his long crazy hair and biker jacket, sitting on his dainty little French provincial chair…

Gorgeous sweater--you have lots of skill! I love it with the jeans especially (something about the juxtaposition between the smooth knit and the more rugged, varied blues of the jeans), but it looks great with the pants too.

Yes, my wardrobe and home tend to match. In fact, a long time ago when we had a YLF meet-up, a fabber came to my house and the first things she said were "You look different in person" and "Your house looks just like you."

P.S. naps are the best so I hope you got to take one!

Looks pretty great both ways ( but jeans add that contrast that I like so much ).
I don’t match my decor since my apartment has minimal decorations- but some with black&white and some with blue ( fav color ).

Sharan I wish I could knit even a fraction as well as you sew! I dusted off my knitting needles last year, partly related to Covid and partly to satisfy my desire to make something. I find it very therapeutic.

Thank you Angie, a killer makes me beam! And from what I’ve seen of your decor it totally matches your vibrant wardrobe. And there was indeed napping…when I’m minding my wee granddaughter (18 mos) I nap defensively, when she goes down, I go down.
Thank you Jonesy, I’m not so skilled, but I confidently pass off any mistakes as artistic freedom. The fabber’s comments make me think we should do a challenge of matching the fabber to interior decor photos.

Stealth napping is the best! These are great outfits, and congratulations on managing the craft!

The decor in my house is very much a co-operative project between myself and DH with a local interior designer as doula. It IS a blend of my personal colouring and DH’s - golden beige(me) and silver grey(him) through the principal rooms. The rec room is an outlier (and that’s where I take most of my OOTD pics)

Thanks Carla! Ohh I like the doula interior designer concept, and nice blend of yours and DHs colours. My merman is happy to let me make all the decor decisions…and it seems my colours dominate, happy coincidence? To be fair, he’s got total control of the garage which has turned into his woodworking workshop.

Funny you should mention this. My clothes don’t match my furnishing, but I do wish my furnishings were in my personal color palette. I wear a lot of olive green, recently purchased some mustard pants, & am wondering if it would be best to wear them with green or blue. I have had it in my head to find a warm denim blue colored top, & your pic of your jeans with the charmeuse top has solidified that idea. Thanks for sharing!

Matching your clothes to your couch to camaflouge your nap sounds like an act of genius! Anyway, you look fabulous in your sweater - I especially like it with the slouchy trousers for a really trendy without trying look.

Nice job on the sweater! I like both of these but do have a slight preference for the jeans.

As far as furniture, I guess sort of? I prefer neutrals and our home is pretty much neutrals at the moment with a few pops of teal (which I like but don't have any clothing) and some blush. All I know is I pick what I like so it would make sense if they are the same.

Robin, me too re preference. But then I always prefer jeans and need to consciously select other bottoms. neutrals with pops of teal and blush sound very soothing!

Olive and chartreuse, yes please!! You look wonderful and that sweater is a great addition to your wardrobe. Interestingly, my wardrobe does not match my home decor, which has a lot of grey and blue.

Beautiful and impressive sweater both ways, and nice footwear to match. Love the yarn you chose! I adore chartreuse but it's hard to find, in my experience.

My decor is partly warm, in colors I can't wear, like saffron and gold, and includes some colors I wear a lot like olive and sage. Your chartreuse couches sound awesome!

Oh wow, you've managed to make olive look *interesting* to me - & that's not easy, lol! Hmm now you've got my wheels turning, that maybe olive just needs to be paired with a bolder (but not necessarily 'brighter') colour to get it to shine? Speaking of which, this shade of yellowish chartreuse suits you

As for décor, mine is mostly deep teals because I have such a hard time finding that colour at clothing retail (& it was supposed to be my Colour of the Year 2022...) Oh well

Thank you ChristelJ! I’ve been keeping my eyes peeled for chartreuse for a long time…and it seems to be having a moment in yarn. Love the colours in your home decor. My main floor has the warm side of my palette, upstairs bedroom got my basic neutrals.

Oh Zaeobi I could see chartreuse looking dynamite on you. And it pairs beautifully with burgundy ( thinking of your cords) as well….just think of me as your friendly enabler

Fabulous sweater! I love the sweater both ways. I have a chartreuse sweater that I wear with denim—such a great colour.
We live in a natural woodsy place. Our decor is earth tones and works with our surroundings. Of course, I have always had earth-toned decor. Mr. SF wears all black. Sometimes he throws in some gray.

Boy, you are singing my song with those colors. I love the whole first outfit, top to bottom. You look fab! I also like chartreuse with faded blue as well, so your jeans outfit is great. I'm really impressed you made that top. I have a chartreuse sofa too—mine is in my office.

The colors our house is decorated in are certainly colors that are well represented in my closet. Sunset and sand colors are how I would describe the palette: the light and dark sand colors reflect the walls and wood floors and where we don't have wood we have slate. The soft furnishings are blues and oranges, colors mirrored in the slate. I wear all of these colors. The only room that is different is my office, which is primarily gray (walls), soft furnishings in chartreuse and charcoal with lashings of burgundy, toffee and chocolate. All colors I love and wear.

My wardrobe palette is completely unrelated to my home decor! For my house, I tried to pick colors I saw out my window, so it’s very earthy and tied to the surroundings….
