As a fellow knitter, my eye was immediately drawn to the yolk of the sweater, the general impression of the sweater and then the details of the rest of the outfit. I like both outfits but my favorite pairing is with the olive trousers.
I have never thought that there would be a link between home decor style and personal decor but the idea makes sense. What appeals is instinctive to the same person, so of course the same colours or aesthetic would be linked. In my case , neither house or person are very intentionally decorated but both have texture, comfort, colour and utility as a "must".

Thank you Brooklyn, olive looks amazing on you! I think the great thing about a ‘white’ home is that it serves as a wonderful canvas for your furnishings, and teal is so you!

Staysfit and Rejoiceandbe, fellow knitters! The sweater is a top down design from Petitknit. The yolk ….er shall we say YOKE is just 10 rows of ribbing (4x) separated by two rows of stockinette, 1st row has the increases. First section of ribbing was a bit of a strain, it’s a struggle to keep even tension for that first section with fewer stitches on the needle. I’m repeating the sweater in a cream, and have begun with an Italian cast on hoping to improve the first round.

Great color on you and love the matching shoes!
My wardrobe and decor are very different. I have a beach vibe- lots of aqua, but I wear autumn colors and black.

Hmm, my house and I have the same approach to styling, which is to start with what we already have and just fill in the gaps. I tried an interiors person for a top down refresh but ended up hating the result. It’s only after a few years of moving the designer pieces around and adding new second hand pieces and newly commissioned pieces that it feels like us again.

Great sweater and I love all the greens..I’m another admirer of the yoke and as a fellow knitter must ask if you’d share a link to the pattern or the name of it.

This thread ( or is that yarn …groan!) is taking on a life of its own. I’ve loved reading everyone’s décor stories. And really appreciate all the kind comments re my wiw and handiwork.
Jorja, the pattern is Ankers summer shirt from petiteknit.com.
Highly recommend her patterns, well written, easy to follow and they work! I’ve also made her Cumulus Blouse a few times. I signed on to Ravelry last year, a fantastic knitting community. My username is Susanseaknits if you want to see details about my projects.

I fear another project is about to be added to the list. Thanks for the pattern information. I wasn't aware of this designer.

Ooh, you made that? Clever you. And the colour is great for you. It's a great colour, period, but I don't have any of it in my life.

I like the sweater both ways but with the denim feels more spring-like.

My wardrobe is cool tones and berries for the most part. My house is completely different -- I get to indulge my love of warm colours, the ones that don't look good on me. There is still some blue, but a warmer blue than I typically wear. Also rusty and deep reds, golds, yellows, and a lot of antique furniture in mid-tone browns.

Wow, that yoke is stupendous! Thanks for the close-up!

Ahh yes, chartreuse is probably a better descriptor of this colour than 'olive' - which probably explains why I like it so, too! And the yoke detailing is great - you have much more patience than I do! The most I can do is hand sew a few stitches until I get frustrated that everything doesn't align perfectly & just unpick all of my hard work

Haha the enabling is much appreciated - have been wanting to wear the burgundy cords with my purple scarf but was struggling with how to 'connect' the two colours. Sounds like chartreuse might be just the bridge that I need!
