Perfect Prairie fall day: 21C, sunny and clear with a nice breeze. I found - practically ran to it - this jacket at Anthro a couple of weeks ago and finally got to wear it today. (I can't even begin to describe the level of excitement I have for this jacket - I think the sales guy thought I was a little weird - you know how you spot something and know even before you touch it that it will be yours and that it's exactly perfect for you? ) I wasn't sure how I was going to style it but needed to have a certain degree of polish today in terms of a top to counter the distressed and cuffed jeans. (this was a work day) . Comfy stretch denim jeans, the softest and most comfortable boots I've ever owned (yes, extremely impractical being cream nubuck and I can't wear them with dark denim , but, whatever ) , and my accessories on heavy repeat right now: these artisan-made earrings and my new grey RM bag. Also - fall nails

Shout-out to Kelly for inspiring this boot purchase I bought them a couple of months ago, wanting to replicate Kelly's summer knit dress/boots formula, which looks SO cool on her. The two dresses I ordered along with the boots were both epic fails (quality and sizing - both Nordstrom house brands) and even though I was wary about light coloured boots, I decided to throw caution and common sense to the wind and keep them. Now I can' t take them off. They have the same effect as white booties, but are softer (colour and texture) , which suits me better. I'll be keeping this brand on my radar, that's for sure.

**oh, and , credit to Bijou for the photo pose idea - with the phone up and off to the side. Good thing my income doesn't depend on my photography skills - ha!

All thoughts for styling the coat, boots, etc, are more than welcome !

I too got some light coloured boots (a kind of stone/beige colour) that I hope will sub in for trendy white this Spring. I think they add contrast like white boots but it’s a more muted look, which appeals to me.
