Ooh!! Thank you so much for all the enthusiasm everyone!!
O. - Yes! I think the dress is going to be quite versatile. And I promise to post the next iteration too;-) (Also: always wonderful to “see” you!)
kkards - My word, yes! The weather really cooperated that day. We’ve been having nothing but windy and rainy days since, so I’m staring at this photo longingly
Karie - Thank you! I can highly recommend it. The material is beautiful and it drapes so nicely.
Sveta - Thank you! And it’s always a treat to read your comments. You are right: the sneakers were perfect for the occasion.
lyn67 - I hear you:-) I actually had to wear a very unflattering apron in high school for the first three years, and the only redeeming quality about it was that it had a small white and light blue gingham pattern
Eliza - I don’t wear them all that often either. But I would if I could find more nice shirtdresses with sleeves and a longer length (I’m tall). And you are right, they are so easy to dress up or down.
Tanya - I shall try (I know I’ve promised this before, sigh -(
Nancy - That’s so very sweet of you!! Have a lovely time at your arboretum!!
Runcarla - I’m so pleased you think so: I almost never wear solid black near my face as I think it’s a little stark with my complexion, and I wasn’t sure this dress would work because of that. But thanks to the equal parts white running through the gingham pattern it does work. Yay!-)
Suz - Thank you so much! And me too: I absolutely looove a good shirtdress (and wish I could find more suitable ones).
delurked - It was a gorgeous day, indeed.
lisap - Hah! You and me both. More dresses with pockets please! And *nodding*, the blossoms were absolutely stunning.
merwoman - Oh thanks for loving my current ‘do. I’m really enjoying it.
texstyle - That makes a lot of sense!
Diana - *happy smile*
JAileen - Yes, I’m going to try the metallic footwear next.
Angie - *blushing*
Carole - I saw that tree and just knew I had to snap a picture there
Jenni, zoiechic, Chris, Mirjana, quietgirl, Celia, Sheila, Joy, kellygirl - Thank you all so much!
