Firecracker (Sharan) - Freshly fallen snow is always so pretty to look at. But I'm not going to lie, I appreciate that it melts fast around here.
Jaime and RachelNZ- I was delighted with how this outfit turned out compared to the inspo pic too. Thank you so much for the kind words and for looking!
Sisi - My apologies that the title of this post was misleading. I have changed it to (hopefully) be more clear. This outfit was taken the day after the snow finished. The high was mid 50sF and snow was only on grassy areas, not any streets or sidewalks so I didn't feel I needed to wear boots. I layered the floral cardigan (which has wool in it) with a long sleeve tee and felt comfortable for the temperatures of the day. I was WFH that day and only outside long enough to take an outfit photo.
The outfit I wore the day it snowed is outfit #2 (cashmere sweater, silk scarf, long sleeve tee, jeans, and knee high boots) in this post (Sweaters and Jeans for Winter Weather). I agree that walking in the snow with sneakers would not be ideal and I also would be too cold to wear a tee in snowy weather. I hope I've answered all your questions!
Dee - When I lived in NJ it could take a month or longer for the temperatures to rise enough to melt the snow. I don't find snow as pretty once it gets grey and dirty. Thanks for looking!
