I haven't posted, never mind taken a picture of myself , in months and months. I've owned up to the fact that although I love clothes, dressing isn't the highlight of my day in the winter, and frankly , I've been wearing nothing but jeans or leggings for ages. I'm all about covering and camouflaging my body, and not having to pull and fuss and worry. For the first time in AGES, I liked what I was wearing enough to see what it looked like in a photo. New denim dress from UO, older black suede pointy toe boots from Brown's (yes, I am nuts because it is warm and yucky and greasy with snow out there but I felt like being a little foxy today so there ) and a new leopard print textured coat from Olsen. Floral print silk scarf in same colours as the coat, and many many pearl objects (if I was going to photo and post, I had to acknowledge Angie in some way, so on went the pearls) . No purse - just put my phone in my pocket. Spritz of Tokyo Milk's Dead Sexy, new mix of Bobbi Brown and MAC lipsticks, and I was good to go. I am less inclined to pull out my RATE and tougher looking pieces these days and am really looking forward to a new direction for Spring : one which looks dressier, prettier, and a little more classic in nature. My skull print pieces and jewellery are starting to feel less authentic and more "try hard" at my advanced age. I don't want to go all mainstream classic or anything , but I do want to ramp up the sophistication factor.
