This is the outfit I wore to work last week, the first week that actually felt like a cooler Autumn. I only go into the office once a week and I take public transit, so my outfit has to be practical for walking, standing, sitting, escalators, stairs, and the office. This outfit isn't unique, but it feels like "me." The only new items are the pants and bag. The bag was a gift from my sister for my birthday this past summer. It's vegan leather, that a colleague mistook for real leather (!), from a Canadian company.

Outfit creation came from wanting to wear the pants as I love earthy tweeds, especially for Autumn, and I really love a wide leg. (The pants may need a hem.) This cream sweater I've had for ages, but I love it. It's well-made and cotton. Paired with a lace cami underneath and a pearl pendant on a gold chain, gifted to me from my parents many years ago. One of my favourites! Swiss dot brown socks and square-toed, brown suede shoes, also very old. I had a bit of an Ah-ha moment with the scarf, as ordinarily I would have worn a scarf to match the coat, but I like how the purple coat works with the tawny "orange" of the purse so I thought, "why not" and add an earthy, leopard print scarf too, which happily coordinated with the pants and shoes (I tucked in the burgundy ends, but they could work with the palette as well, I think). After wearing my outfit, I found a few posts by Angie featuring purples with earth tones: Toffee, lilac, and black; Dark purple remixed with earth tones; and Chocolate with cream and lavender.

Thanks for looking! All comments and feedback welcome.
