Or at least one of them?

Wearing tunics is something I can't break down in terms of why it works, I just know to my eye it does - I like the length and so far the forum comments in the past have been encouraging too.

I've always wanted basic black tunic which I can treat as blank canvas, so when I came across this one I bought it without hesitation. It has a nice cowl-neck collar although not too elaborate, and I can leave it without the scarf or put the scarf on. And since we've switched to Autumn overnight, I used the first chance and try it out at last.

The photo on the left shows the tunic layered over the tee shirt, the one on the right has the scarf added too. With my scarf collection and the remaining tee shirts in my wardrobe, if I stick to these elements of the outfit alone, I already have more combinations to wear than there are days in the Autumn and Winter.

I also plan to wear the tunic with button downs and turtlenecks. I would appreciate your input about other styling ideas and the bottom part of the outfit - do I have any other options except different styles of jeans?

But, the main questions are:

  1. Does this basic outfit work?
  2. Is there anything that needs tweaking?
  3. Any preference for left (no scarf) or right (with scarf) outfit?

Thanks in advance.
