I default to a lot of black jeans and shoes, so I was happy to take up the Runcarla's color challenge. I did not wear either of these, but I took advantage of DD being home and available to photograph. The first one is more of a spring outfit that I think I would like better with spring shoes and more lipstick. The second one seems like it is missing something too. All suggestions and thoughts welcome!

Outfit 1: Bob Mackie vintage top (thrifted), Current/Elliot white boyfriend jeans (thrifted), citron? Israeli bag (thrifted),Angie recommended boots from a year or two ago.
Outfit 2: Maison Scotch top (thrifted), vintage Celine eggplant colored trousers (thrifted), vintage Christian Dior combat style boots (second hand).

You wear color beautifully Shevia! That pink is is so pretty on you. The second outfit, I agree, looks great, but feels like it needs on more thing - maybe jewellery - big hoops or a bracelet maybe? The collar kind of gives a necklace effect ...

LOVE the first outfit on you Shevia - great color and the details in the blouse pick up perfectly with your handbag color too. The second one is nice but maybe a little more overwhelming in terms of darkness of the colors. I wonder how that same top would look with lighter bottoms.

I really like both outfits, and love seeing your second-hand scores. Dior combat boots? My heart. I'd try a long vest - flowy, in black - over the second outfit, or a moto-style jacket to give a nod to the combat boots.

Both outfits are great, Shevia. The first one is so pretty and I really like the white boots with this outfit. The yellow bag looks so nice with the pink. The second is also beautiful. Love the colour combination and the combat boots are sensational. If you feel like something is missing, maybe a little bit of shine - a watch or a bracelet, as TG suggested. You look absolutely fabulous in both outfits. I admire your wardrobe - fantastic pieces all of them.

I wish I had the patience — and the venues — for the level of thrift shopping you do! You truly find the best pieces.

That first outfit is really great on you — I like the light pink with your coloring! I love the colors in the second one (colors closer to my personal comfort zone), but think it could simply use some accessorizing — a fab cuff and/or bold earrings.

I really like #1 and don't think anything is missing. I think #2 just needs some jewelry - maybe a bracelet or earrings and it would be perfect.

Not to mention your fantastic thrift store finds. The pink top is just plain gorgeous on you. Love it with the white and white booties! Perfection.

I agree that the second one needs one more piece. Liking LisaP's idea of a layered vest of some kind.

Wow, you have such thrifted treasures! Both outfits are perfect, I think less if more when you have such great details. Just pick a contrasting purse for 2 (gold? Pastel?) and you are good to go.

Thank you all for your kind feedback. I am so pleased that the first outfit works - it isa bit outside my comfort zone.
Torontogirl - I definitely need more prominent earrings. Or a jacket. Or both!
texstyle - I like the idea of bringing down the pink a bit with the bag. I will try the second top with light jeans next I think.

Janet - the second outfit's colors are also closer to my comfort zone too. Thrifting is absolutely therapeutic for me, but it does take a lot of patience and luck.

Well, you're like a cherry tree brought to life in Outfit 1 and it suits you, wow!

I guess if you feel a burning need to change out the shoes to sandals etc you couuuuuld, but the booties look intentional.

Outfit 2, hmmmm. Such a cool print but you set the bar so high with #1 in terms of fit, color, harmony. On my monitor, at least, the colors seem a little off for you and the eggplant (could totally be the camera, mine doesn't understand pale person + darker clothes when IRL it's all good).

Love the pants + boots so I admit I'd try a few other things up top...and no doubt your amazing closet of magical vintage items has something that beckons!

These look wonderful - 1 is fab on you whilst lighter then I usually see - definitely wear for real.

I like 2 as well - I think a cuff could be great with it - or earrings - but It is good as is.

I like both outfits. It's interesting that both tops really seem to flatter you even though one is pastel and the other a saturated color.

Both outfits are lovely on you. I am jealous of your thrifting finds! I agree that some accessories would amp up outfit 2. No 1 is perfect.

I love both outfits, Jaime. I actually like the second one as it is. Add a cross-body bag, perhaps, or a denim or bomber jacket. I love those boots, and the combination of the slouchy trouser, plus boots, plus pretty top is a winner for me.

The first outfit is superb, and I especially like the way the bag picks up, without exactly matching, the centers in the daisies on the top.

Vix I appreciate your eye for color and detail and thank you for the feedback. I did not do the second outfit any favors photographing it there, I think the color is off and some of the brighter details are lost. But yes, the boots and the pants deserve a better top - point well taken!
Thank you Jenni - I am not used to wearing such a bright color, but I will have to push myself more.
