All of these items have been on here recently. That’s intentional. It’s my own little remix challenge, sort of a backwards 10x3, where I chose things by wearing them instead of picking items ahead of time. I wear things more than once before I wash them. I usually have a row of hooks or a rack to put things that are “clirty” (half clean, half dirty) on while they wait. In theory, I wear something, leave it there, wear it again, and wash it. In practice, I tend to move on to other pieces and leave stuff on the rack. First it’s a little capsule, which is fine, but then clothes start piling up around the rack, in the bathroom, next to the bed…. Eventually it’s too much and I have to restore order. This week I tried a different way to manage that before things got too extreme. I only dressed from that capsule, no adding to the collection, and then put things in the laundry. I’m thinking of making this my regular last-week-of-the-month practice.

My rules were simple: only wear things I’d already worn recently (leaning towards items I’ve posted), mix them in different combos than before. Clear the da** rack & start the next month fresh.

1-4 Flagrantly broke the rules I just laid out, for a job interview. Thanks again to everyone who helped me prepare! Thank goodness the clothes hamper, my bare feet, & the crap under the desk didn’t show on the screen! Added accessories to schlepp off to my appt at the secondhand shop, and ate a sloppy quesadilla for lunch after danger of interviewing with the menu on my front was past.

5-9 Does the wine match my outfit? Credit for pairing these shoes & pants goes to Bijou, who suggested the combo. Gotta love an outfit with pockets too!

10-11 To tuck or not to tuck? My answer, on the Indian restaurant on a boat. With temps in the 90s, silk pants & a linen (jersey) top felt right.
Paige pants

12-16 to a doctor’s appointment, in a building with a hall of mirrors in the lobby, in the middle of the day. Blouse is lower cut than I usually wear. I exaggerated the effect for the close-ups, but the edges of my bra probably did peek out sometimes, so I chose one in a color that worked with the outfit. It seemed ok to me; what do you think? Our heat wave is clearly over, so for an evening errand, I used the blouse as a jacket over a sleeveless, lightweight sweater.

17-18 a dressier top than I usually wear for hanging out at home, but 100% cotton lawn is remarkably comfy. With the decorative (not itchy!) front, I feel no need for jewelry, etc. even if I go out later.

I’ve had fun this month with theme weeks of the 70s and summer brights. Next week I’m going to try moody dark summer, (no ditzy prints), just to see if I can. Anybody care to join me?
