Hi! It’s been an incredibly long time since I’ve checked in here, and I thought I’d pop in to say CONGRATULATIONS on 17 years of YouLookFab!
(And to say hello as well.)

The time period since I last posted has been busy, challenging, and interesting. In the latter half of 2021, I returned to work after a very long hiatus (intentional at first, then prolonged by the pandemic and its impact on the job market.) I spent much of 2022 working (technically a hybrid, but more often remotely) as well as being injured/sick/recovering through different periods of the year. I was grateful to already have comfortable clothes that I liked when I really couldn’t do much for myself.

That being said, after spending much of the last 4 years primarily in knit casual clothes or activewear, it’s been wonderful to turn a new leaf, try some excellent size-inclusive and new-to-me brands, and feel like I’ve found a happy place in my style journey at this point in my life. It’s more fun and joyful getting dressed than it‘s been in many years.

Style summary: Midi skirts, long sleeved patterned mesh tops, cropped denim, booties, fashion sneakers, denim or leather jackets, colorful dresses, bandanas or neckerchiefs, and colorful or gemstone pendant necklaces have been my staples.
I also added a new pair of glasses at the end of 2022 after a lot of thought and trying different pairs, and I am extremely happy with them.

Favorites over the past 4 months:
1. Salmon linen skirt, colorful printed mesh top, taupe suede waterfall jacket, metallic braided booties, faux pearl necklace.
2. Green botanical print blouse with side ties (allows you to wrap/tie it in different ways), cropped jeans with wide cuff, cognac booties, small cobalt pendant necklace.
3. Yellow dotted midi skirt, black polka dot mesh top, faded denim jacket, metallic braided booties, geode pendant necklace.
4. Navy printed shirt with white piping, cropped dark raw denim pants, knotted faux pearl necklace, metallic braided booties.
5. Green striped khadi cotton blouse, pebble gray raw denim midi skirt, burgundy knee high boots, gray leather jacket (that one that I self-repaired a big hole in years ago), dendritic quartz pendant necklace.
6. Dotted wrap dress (that I had hand-dyed magenta), black satin bomber jacket, black lace tights, rose gold collar necklace, black pumps, black sparkly envelope clutch.
7. Colorful mesh mock-neck top, dark denim suspender shift dress with teal suspenders, burgundy knee high boots, chartreuse pendant necklace.
8. Cedar tencel twill blouse tucked into dark raw denim midi skirt, slate metallic sneakers, geode pendant necklace.
9. Black crepe jumpsuit, teal satin bomber jacket, slate metallic sneakers, colorful chunky necklace.
10. Bright coral printed fit and flare dress, denim jacket, green printed bandana pinned at neck with hummingbird brooch, metallic braided booties.
11. Navy tiered, ruffled dress with black lace tights, emerald and royal blue velvet pumps, faux pearl collar necklace, metallic envelope clutch.
12. Geometric denim and cotton color blocked blouse tucked into dark raw denim midi skirt, fringe pendant necklace, emerald and royal blue velvet pumps.
13. Floral multicolored mock-neck mesh top, cropped patchwork jeans, cognac belt, colorful chunky necklace, metallic braided booties.
14. Black mock-neck top, yellow dotted midi skirt, yellow flat suede mules, colorful plaid square scarf tied neckerchief style with a scarf ring/slide, black leather jacket, forest green canvas circle crossbody bag.
15. Floral print shirt, pebble gray raw denim cropped pants, forest green suede flats, denim jacket, Venetian millefiori pendant necklace.
16. Blue ruffle-front fit and flare dress, green bandana tied at the neck, metallic braided booties.
17. Dark denim suspender shift dress layered over colorful large plaid print crop top layered over chartreuse tee, forest green leggings, forest green rain booties.
18. Blue shirt tucked into sage green wide leg pants with wide cuff/seam, cognac booties, cognac belt, dendritic quartz pendant necklace.
19. Colorful mesh mock-neck top, black double gauze wrap skirt, emerald and royal blue velvet pumps, cobalt bandana tied as headband, long strand of knotted and doubled-over black beads.
20. Blue elbow-length sleeve shirt tucked into red botanical print midi skirt, faux pearl collar necklace, powder blue suede sneakers.

21. Bonus: New glasses, which are plastic sea green frames with rose arms.
