Angie's post yesterday was perfect timing to motivate me to write a post I've been meaning to for a few days.
I didn't hesitate for one second when the wide legged crops hit the market, it was love at first sight. It started with some faded, released hem ones last fall (perhaps more culottes?) and has continued with a vengeance this spring. I guess I'm a huge fan of short pants for summer, they are perfect for my work environment, and our weather. Even when capris were the scourge of the earth, I still loved mine. So it's not surprising I latched onto a new silhouette.
I also seemed to have (re)developed a love of scarves. It appears a new uniform of sorts has developed... cropped flares with a scarf. Of course no sooner do I put that to paper than the weather jumps another few degrees and they become too warm.
So here is a selection of outfits over the last few weeks.
1. Is it me, or is it Angie????
2-4 BR ad... linen crops and two renditions of the famous silk/cashmere tee
5-6 Gap denim - these are SO comfortable! With a splash of colour. I loved the mixture of textures in this white out - my top is linen with a sheer underlayer that peaks out the bottom, topped with a linen knit sweater.
7-8 The Gaps again.
9. The first pair I bought, from BR. I actually got this pattern in three styles to try, but fell in love with the breeziness of the crops.
Comments and suggestions welcome!
ETA, adding #10, the outfit I was wearing today. BR linen pants in cobalt. Loved the black ones so much I grabbed the blue as well when they went on MAJOR sale. Worn with an EF linen tank.
