Wowsa.
You look Fab!

Love this! The bronze colors are great and the length of the jacket is perfect. I have the opposite struggle from you regarding pants - if they fit in the waist they are baggy everywhere else. Skinnies look like straights on me. Works for now but if they stop selling skinnies I’m in trouble. Glad you are feeling better and didn’t give Covid to your mom!

Wow! I think I "need" bronze pants!

Gorgeous textures and palette- and a big yay to jeans fitting how you want them to.

It’s a weird disease that’s for sure - pleased DH is doing better now.

Love!!! I am a bronze fan too! The jeans fit so well. Perfect slouch. The coat is so right for this week.
Now I will have to watch Buffy. I must be missing something.
Good to hear DH is getting better.

Thanks SF and ST. The bronze jeans are available on ASOS. Just saying. Some bronze trousers would be nice too. Maybe in velvet

RobinF, thanks. Jeans are hard! It must be a challenge for retailers to cater to our different shapes.

And thanks Sal and Indigoprint.

HAHAHA

An extra shiny outfit is in order for Mama next time!

Whoa!! This is amazing. The bronze jeans fit so well in a relaxed cool girl way! Love everything about this! YLF!

Always love a shiny piece-I love bronze, too-but is so rare! Great styling as usual, YLF in them! Like Irina, in the last decades I also struggled with regular straight pants (esp. if not jeans...which I also seldom/never wear:-)). I like cropped and cigarette the most-because I like to show a bit of ankle, am so worried these will go out of trends/fashion and will look dated on me sooner or later:-(((.

ETA:--Wow!!! Brooklyn, the light bulb went on!! Thanks for remindig me (in your answer to Irina) styling them with more substantial footwear, which I almost forgot that was what I did when wore them last time, 20 yrs ago! I started collecting chunky sandals last summer but chunky loafers were only available here this spring (already collecting, them-once again -too) but I almost forgot they will work so much better with straight pants! who-hoo!:-))

Thanks Lyn. I’m happy to have helped.

Thanks KG!

Angie, I’m working on more bling for mama

Brooklyn, my late Mama was very candid and direct about my fashion choices too. Very sweet and complimentary, but absolutely told me when she didn't like something. Our Mamas sound alike

Took another look at the bronze jeans - how easy were they to wash, @Brooklyn? Did you just machine wash them as normal with all your other clothes, or in a mesh bag - did the finish stay intact? Do they stay stretched out or does the 100% cotton bounce back to its original fit after washing?

PS - I'm pleasantly surprised they have a curvier fit, considering Collusion usually does a lot of unisex clothing (at least from what I've seen of the brand at ASOS)! Leave no retail stone unturned in the quest for full length, relaxed fit trousers

Zaeobi, I haven’t washed them yet! I have other coated jeans and I wash them inside out in the washing machine. I plan to do that. Others here have mentioned that the coating on coated jeans tends to come off over time, but I haven’t had that experience with my other coated jeans (which I’ve now had for 5 years plus). So I was willing to take the chance. From an aesthetic POV, it might not matter, because the jeans have a patina effect in any case.

My experience with 100% cotton jeans is that they tend to tighten up with washing, then relax again with wear.

Just a note on sizing: I sized up in this style. Because I like them so much I recently tried another style of Collusion jeans in the same size. They were too big. So I think the bronze jeans run small.

Ahh, thanks for the detailed response - as someone also with a large waist-to-hip ratio, I find it difficult to gauge fit from the waistband size alone (since that often doesn't tell me whether it'll accommodate my hip circumference too). So let's see if I end up ordering - might need a belt with it?

You're right about the patina effect though, hadn't thought about that - could make it a useful piece for casual nights out (where you want to look evening/ party-appropriate, but not too polished/ dressed up). Don't have many events like that to dress for though (especially with the half-restrictions due to COVID), so it might not be worth it?
